Careful guys, ask sum is going to be under 40,000 soon. This is when those who are trying to call top get itchy fingers. Price can make leaps upward, but it will be very very hard to sell at top. Trust me. crash incoming

So, since I bought in at $143.39 - should I sell out again, and wait for the crash?

I'm saying it has potential to rocket up because of steep ask depth. But lots of others will try to call the top, bid depth won't be there...

Damn just when i'm about to go all in at bitsamp  Cool ,won't let me log in! And since no trading for last 3hrs there i assume its for everyone right?

Edit: Bitcoinity is going crazy on bitstamp. I'm now able to login after few failed attempts.

The crash isn't coming because it's under 40k BTC for sale. That's when the fun start. The crash will come when the price has gone too high too fast. We're not there yet.

Yea that is kinda what i'm saying. When the ask sum gets sub-40k, buys tend to cause lots of slippage. This can result in rockets up. But also itchy seller fingers. The fall down will be even more dramatic.

Hitting a 6 month high might pull some coins out of a few pockets anyway.

I agree. But I don't think this bubble will pop before $500.

I wonder if these buy-ups lately are someone, or some group, stacking coins in preparation for an upcoming business venture? Perhaps a new financial service of some kind?
I've been saying that for weeks now.

OK, here's some real speculation: someone knows that bitcoins have to be much higher price for institutional investors to be interested in them, so they are driving the price through the roof, while simultaneously cleaning out the bears on the way up.

Then they will have a huge stash to sell to the banks when they're worth $5000.
