Probably the first time that bitstamp was direction leader (+5% move).

Actually, no. I try to keep track of the clear cut cases, if for no other reason that I trade on bitstamp, and by my count this is the 3rd time a major movement took place on bitstamp before mtgox since July.

This is a healthy correction in an upwards trend. A good breather after two months of climbing up.

Like I said, a shakeout.  I agree that so far it looks more like a correction than a reversal but only time can tell.

LTC is a crappy hedge. You have to dump it immediately after BTC finishes crash and begins to climb again. The window to do so is very narrow because the largest pumper/dumpers are in cahoots with owners of BTCe.

Very risky bizness.

Boy am I mighty glad by now that I spotted bitstamp going down today (even posted so in this thread). At that point I sold on mtgox for 143.6$. It's been crashing downwards ever since.  Grin

Funny thing is, no one wants fiat in MtGox...so after we're all done riding wave I wonder when the reality check will start to set in?
