I'm all cheering for prices to drop but I see good reason also:

this board looks dead, even with lots of price action
turnover on mtgox looks low compared to previous rise and falls where you would easily have 50K in 24h, now it's only 20k
turnover on bitstamp is also 20k, equally high as mtgox on strong move, that's new right?
bitstamp seems to be leading most moves now, meaning mtgox is really over
i agree, i am thinking we will go under $100 in the next week...

MtGox is leading the current price drop actually, the exchanges are taking turns now. Tongue Bitstamp was actually creeping up closer to MtGox price until Gox started dropping.

Where is now the $whale who likes to buy cheap coins?

He will show up @ sunday  Cool

There was no $ whale, it was a pump and dump operation that drove the price so high.

This has been a weak "crash" so far. If volume doesn't accelerate, I might have to go back in time and change my predictions.

Bitcoin, you disappoint me.  Angry

If that would be true, the pumper-slash-dumper would be one broke motherfucker. Volume on the way down so far is just a fraction of what the whale put into the 'pump' part, and we're already getting near the point where it all started. No profit in that.

No, sorry to disappoint, but whoever drove the price up might or might not come back, but pump and dump 't was not.

I didn't see much selling on top levels.

About here, on the 30th, i have predicted that we'll hit 120 before we hit 150, with a warning that my predictions are always wrong.

Here, we were a few bucks away from 150, and i pointed out that it looks like i'm wrong again.

Let's see if this wrongness streak keeps up Grin

I think that the market has passed a tipping point: bitstamp now leads mtgox. The latest drop has bitstamp trending lower and hitting the lowest point ($115.21) four minutes before mtgox.

The orderbook pressure on gox is not conducive to further falls and is seemingly being dragged lower. There is only one other exchange which could do that...

That should terrify bulls because Bitstamp has about 1/10th the bid depth as gox. Net effect is it takes much less to crash the price on both exchanges.

No, sorry to disappoint, but whoever drove the price up might or might not come back, but pump and dump 't was not.

That would suggest whale's accumulation is not yet complete, the buy in chunks as soon as sellers appear, then followed by flash-crashing it to set a new base for more accumulation?

and therefore, right?

He was a BTC whale who sold his coins at the 145 -148 level, panic buyers were so eager to buy them.
He didn't have to dump much, if any, after that. He sure loves those panic buyers.  Grin

If i'm consistently wrong, my predictions are useless to me (if i act on the opposite of what i predicted, that would effectively change my prediction and *also* be wrong). but you can use me as the-oracle-who's-always-wrong, and just put a tilde in front of everything i say.  Profit.

Edit:  I just want to see if documenting my ever-awful predictions changes the outcome, too...

Those  bastards missed my bid by less than 70c  God damn it. I even had my bid  at 122.50 and then moved it back $1!!! Fml, now if my bid gets hit we probably go through 120.
