To me it looks like someone found a way to make a quick arbitrage between gox and bitstamp, either withdrawals are back, tux is making the arbitrage or people in japan found a cheap way to deposit in bitstamp...

When was the last time prices where so close?

Wait wait wait... guys... Bitstamp is at $118 and Mt.Gox is at $122... could it be... that Mt.Gox solved the withdrawal problem? Is this the elimination of the spread we've all been waiting for? Maybe this crash on Mt.Gox is... super duper bullish?!

i wouldn't say that its  super duper bullish, withdrawals being back means people will feel more safe selling, but it would be good news nonetheless.

end result would probably be no more spread between exchanges

And people feeling more safe sending funds to mt.gox. Would you send funds to an exhange if you couldn't withtdraw them?

I don't think withdrawals are actually working again, I just think there is a lot of support at 115 on Bitstamp. The gap shrunk to about $5 when Bitstamp was at 115-116 and Gox was at 121, now the gap widened to $8 again with Bitstamp at 118 and Gox at 126. Or perhaps the secret arbitrager wants to make us think there are no withdrawals while he waits for the gap to increase to $10+ again.

In an effort to find a humorous twist to the stressed G20 summit closing, Andy Borowitz, comedian and satirical news columnist for the New Yorker, wrote an article today that has sadly has been misinterpreted, or worse yet, not even read. In the piece, the writer has portrayed how he envisioned things going after Putin effectively shut down President Obama's attempts at rallying further support for the Syrian military strikes. Labeling the story "G20 Ends Abruptly As Obama Calls Putin A Jackass," one thing we can say is, the title is certainly going to catch the eye and force a few clicks on the mouse button.

Like I said it should be labeled like satire. What the hell do i know if i am not a usual reader of newyorker. I have been confused like many more. Check twitter comments about it or your own article comments.

One problem with Japanese banks is their ATM cards don't work overseas. I don't know how well-known this is, but Mizuho Bank is an exception.

This means, I suppose, you could

1) come to Japan
2) snag a teaching job and a visa (doable in 1-2 months)
3) open a Mizuho Bank account (a few days)
4) quit and go to back to Europe
5) buy BTC on Bitstamp for cheap
6) sell on Gox for a premium
7) have Gox send the yen to your Mizuho Bank account (3-5 days)
8) then withdraw the cash from Mizuho with your ATM card in Europe
9) deposit the euros back into your European bank
10) Repeat steps 5 through 9
