I wanna know whats going through the mind of someone selling here. Do they think this is their last chance of selling at 6K?

They realize that we're probably entering a bear market that could potentially last a couple years or more and want to take a small profit or cut their losses while they can.

Only if tether explodes alongside with bitfinex.

yep...but the silence on this ...could drag this down quite a bit...even if eventually it all comes to naught

ah hell, I'm kinda an ass anyway, I'd be more so if BTC was still at 18k........probably for the best.....

I still have the suspicion that it is in fact Bitfinex/Tether who are selling their massive crypto reserves to have the $2 Billion USD in Tether fully backed. If we would just know how much selling they still need to do for that...

yeah that is what I meant.....unclear...but it is sell/sell/sell time at bitfinex and tether right now to get their tether to usd relationship back to parity

my guess anyway, would make sense...that is what pumped the bubble..if they took all the air and went home..that would deflate it in the same manner

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Here is the bounce off $6k. Will it go anywhere ? Everyone is holding their breath.   Volume is too weak.  Looks like not.

As expected Bitcoin now crashes below $6000. Now the $5K handle is reached.  And the US Congressional Hearing on Crypto-Scams is still a day away.  HODL nuts will hold their melting Bitcoins all the way down to ZERO while scammers and whales dump and run...

Look at the volume. Look at it.

It looks pitiful.  But is that your point?

Isn't this the guy that keeps saying that bitcoin is dead since $100?

I think that he means the volume needed to keep the downwards movement has had to increase, therefore meeting more (hopefully organic) resistance.

Look at the volume. Look at it.

You cannot sum the sell volume and the buy volume.  Of course the macro red candles are huge.

You have to look at the micro green candles after the first bounce. They die away and then the price turns down again.

By the way, I think this is a very healthy discussion that we are having. I have already modified my trading in light of your feedback to acknowledge the possibility of a large bounce.

Got filled on my massive {relatively} buy order of 0.14BTC overnight.
+im still keeping some ammunition for new lows, in case this tethers pump continues during the week.
