If there's any need of any more circumstantial evidence, volume is still not there. The local peek on the weekly was a couple weeks ago. On a red stick.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Why don't we celebrate in Amsterdam?

Very friendly city for all kinds of people.

Temprature

Temperature is quite good in summer. That's not an excuse imo.

Amsterdam in the summer sounds good to me.

I might even be able to find my favorites there... Shirak-i-mazar, Malana Cream and Nepalese Temple Balls.

I'm spoiled rotten.  Cool

Amsterdam is still on my bucket list. But I don't really have any preference right now. Good ideas so far though.

There's really only one option secure enough and extravagant enough - Salyut 3, the only space station to have ever been fitted with an operational weapon.

Definitely no farting though.
We could make up our own laws in space too. Like no central banking and no shitcoins.

I accepted in spirit, but I thought let's keep blockchain spam down and opsec up. V8's trust rating speaks for me too.

I'll send that drink ( 0.000777btc ) on to the WO regular with the most amusing (to me) explanation, within a month, of his absence from Bob's list mentioned here

Of course, the rules for student loans, including eligibility and interest rates vary with time, but generally speaking there is a certain level of publicly subsidized loans that do not bear interest until after graduating or other qualifying conditions.

Piggybacking on this discussion...

Currently, 9.1% of student loans are delinquent by 90 days or more. This is an 'asset class' (to the makers) of over $1.6Trillion. Size of junk mortgages in 2007? About $1T.

Ponderate upon this: what happens when those bad student loans go totally tits-up? <mr_rogers_voice>Can you say financial crisis? Sure. I knew you could.</mr_rogers_voice>

Having been convicted of possessing a plant that is now legal in my own country, I'm now eternally persona non grata in the land of the incarcerated and the home of the militarily emboldened.

The ultimate irony, of course, being that Nevada has legalized recreational marijuana, right ?  Roll Eyes

The USA desperately needs to adopt a sane drug policy at a federal level, if for no other reason than basic humanitarianism.

Yes, Las Vegas has recreational marijuana and tons of dispensaries open for business. That was going to be my main reason for suggesting it as one of the best places for a 100k$ BTC party. (That, and I like to gamble lol)

They even import products from California apparently. I saw Vader extracts (Cali brand) in a dispensary there last year when I went.

Also, Vegas has exotic car rentals, legal prostitution (in certain nearby areas), and some good places to eat  Grin

Well, should probably go without saying, I rescind my offer of throwing a $100k party, if/when the milestone is achieved. If I've fucked up an intended good-faith beer offering in this thread so badly due to bad planning/foresight on my part or whatever, I have no business pondering more grandiose "events". Not to mention the considerable scorn I have accrued, bearing down upon me, is beginning to weigh heavily on me.

All my calls have turned out to be contrarian, looking back through the lens of retrospection.

I offer nothing of value to this thread.

I should just delete this account and get on with life in meatspace...
