Little bit busy need to read it through .... but Maybe Some Guys can already read and comment it?

I'm surprised they still have people come out and say bitcoin is going to $0. Like it's 2014 again.

Probably some people who opened short and are regretting it right now.

Because the dump has ended...
So now they just pray.
And spare the FUD of course.

If debt bondage is slavery then a bank loan is slavery. You are being deliberately absurd. Your entire argument is based on false premises. And as usual, you know it.

One random quote from the US State Department:

Quote
Thai victims are recruited for employment opportunities abroad and deceived into incurring large debts on broker and recruitment fees, sometimes using family-owned land as collateral, making them vulnerable to exploitation at their destination. Thai nationals are known to be subjected to forced labor or sex trafficking in Australia, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, the Maldives, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Timor-Leste, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vietnam, and Yemen.

https://www.state.gov/documents/organization/210742.pdf

Hairy is right. Slavery exists in America. It's not a matter of opinion. People come over from 3rd world countries all the time, have their passports taken away and are forced into some kind of job... Not just sex slavery, though that is a popular one. Recently the U.S. halted issuing visas to Filipino overseas workers with the second biggest reason being "human trafficking concerns."

https://news.abs-cbn.com/overseas/01/22/19/us-removes-philippines-from-h-2ah-2b-eligibility-list

Back in my health insurance fraud analyst days there was an English/Chilean cult-of-personality psychiatrist who recruited people to come on a "spiritual retreat" with him in Florida, then when they got there he confiscated their passports and forced them to be his servants. It happens all the fucking time.

https://www.lavoz.com.ar/noticias/sucesos/detienen-buenos-aires-famoso-psiquiatra-millonario-fraude-eeuu

I have never understood why is it so bad for someone having their passport taken away. Can't you just go to your country foreign embassy and request another one?

Why don’t you lease a boat for 18 months?

https://www.boatbureau.com/boat-rentals-thailand/

Maybe you can do some sort of long term deal because those are silly short term prices.

Buy when the market bounces back.

Any time I've checked out boat rentals you can usually buy the boat for about 4 to 6 months of rental.

I'm planning on buying a cheap $10k small boat now then buy something better later. It just needs to float and get me 12 nautical miles. We're also in high season here so all the boat prices are more expensive.

Always buy boats AFTER high season. ANyways $10K is cheap enough to not deserve much consideration I guess.

Heh. It's literally a grab in the pocket. Was not always so.

We ought to make sure not to forget how things used to be, or at least could have been. If we really are the new 1%, then that comes with obligations. Let's not misuse our newfound power.

Intelligence is an overrated trait of a man. Consciousness and situational awareness are a lot more essential. They are the abilities to understand and handle time, space and knowledge.

The time, where we were, are and will be. The past the present and the future. Which influence in that order from one to an other. The space, the one that is around us and the other one beyond the horizon. The knowledge. To seek and compare information, to understand relation between reason and result and to make conclusions.

Without consciousness and situational awareness human is just a tabulating machine with no willpower. That is why many intelligent people fail. Most of these people will not understand what crypto is. Not even when they will use it. Just like they don’t understand what fiat is right now when they are using it.

And the more intelligent the mentally weak human is, the more usefull idiot he/she is for the TPTB.

man, this article/report is disturbingly stupid.

Quote
The price of bitcoin could nosedive to zero, Jeff Schumacher, founder of BCG Digital Ventures, said during a CNBC-hosted panel at the Sanctuary in Davos.

Jeff, didn´t you get the memo? If bitcoin goes to zero all alts will have been there long before. If the most robust one, the only decentralized coin will go to zero, where is the reason to buy any shitcoin?

Quote
All agreed that the value of tokens will be derived from how useful the underlying protocol is.

wtf, yes of course! bitcoin up for a decade, flawless, robust, unfonfiscateable with plenty of real life use cases in contrast to all the thousands of shitcoins with no use case at fucking all.

Quote
"I do believe it will go to zero. I think it's a great technology but I don't believe it's a currency. It's not based on anything," Jeff Schumacher, founder of BCG Digital Ventures, said during a CNBC-hosted panel in Davos, Switzerland.

Jeff... oh dear. uncensoreable 24/7 value transfer, quick and cheap, outside of governments and banks is a major breakthrough. and..what exactly are alts based on?

Quote
Schumacher is a big investor in blockchain-focused companies.

the "blockchain-not-bitcoin" narrative is dead. All those millions invested in "blockchain" - where the fuck are the results? the products? the use-cases?

Quote
...Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, that the focus for him as an investor is on the underlying technology known as blockchain.

lol, ripplescam doesn´t even run on a blockchain. ripple is as innovative as airline miles.

Quote
Schumacher said the industry is now trying to create "open decentralized systems."

Jeff... bitcoin already exists. what are you talking about?

Quote
similar to cloud computing today.

wtf?

what a shit(coin)show.

Can I have the bull hat at avatar sized? Seems to me like bull era is nearby.

The more FUD is produced, the less useful it is.
Prices are stable while everyone is crying BTC will go to 0...

That's the sign rise is close.

I think the last BULL-hat was for and claimed by HM (HairyMaclairy)

but if you ask XhomerX to create A bull hat he probably will come with something amazing (and if you prefer with some image of your own)
just send it to him Wink

This video is what everyone needs to see. I really like the last statement being dropped.

Quote
The game is a marathon not a sprint, it is a game that involves high stake, risk, drama, influence, persuasion, money, politics, psychology, philosophy, economics and history. For some reason this is a game many people find tantalizing and sometimes that's all it takes to play a game and eventually redefine our world forever.

Thanks for sharing this @micgoossens.

So you are stating that the child soldier in your example would be better off complaining than trying to figure out how to stay alive or find a way out of his current life?

I have been speaking in generalities but yes if that was his only outlet other than getting killed. I refer now you back to my original post, this is why speaking in absolutes is always wrong.
So you'd rather have people complain and die than having them trying to figure out steps to improve their life in whatever ways accessible to them. How is that supposed to ever accomplish anything?

Which part of "other than" did you not understand?

I have been speaking in generalities but yes if that was his only outlet other than getting killed. I refer now you back to my original post, this is why speaking in absolutes is always wrong.
Absolutely. Always.
