There are a surprising number of progressives / socialists here on what is a primarily a speculation forum

... for a libertarian project.

The irony being that a cryptographically secure project like Bitcoin is a much better system for addressing wealth imbalance than giving more wealth and power to the government.

If they wanted to create real FUD they would just have to get Craig Wright or whoever to say whilst surrounded by gorgeous women:
"Bitcoin is fantastic, it works really well but it can unfortunately never be used to pay for a whore is that right ladies?"
And they all nod and we watch the price nosedive.

The level and direction of your "imagination" is surely diabolical to the core.   You must further your efforts to offer such consultation services whether free or some level of personal gainenings to those "in need." #nohomo    Cry Cry Cry

The only consultancy / advice needed is: HODL.

There is a diabolical rabbit clothing brand so my "diabolical" imagination probably comes natural to bunnies.

Over the years, I have become increasingly irritated by practices of prematurely calling bearmarkets in bitcoinlandia and/or attempts to assign various traditional definitions to bitcoin price dynamics regarding what is or might be a "bear market."

Surely, there are some folks who innocently fall into such categorizations, but frequently such statements are surrounded by wishful thinking, failure to understand bitcoin and/or pure bad intentions (aka FUD spreading or purposeful exaggerations).

Please BTC if you have no fuel.. go directly to the target 40-43K. Then we can talk properly for reversal and next up leg step  Grin

re-testing stronger support at about $47.5k
Might as well go straight up from there. If not now, then probably like next time.

You are absolutely right. 47500 is strong support.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSDT/ZXncFUun-THE-TOP-OWNER-WHALE-ADD-MORE-AND-GRAYSCALE-SHOWS-GREEN-52k/

LOL. 47.5K was broken in 10seconds so.. New local bottom is 46.9K

*cough*

$48.7k and rising.

Not the point. We printed a new local bottom, below 47.5K.

Poor wee widdle gallianooo.

Hopefully, you did not lose too much money on your DOWNity bet (actually, I will admit that I wouldn't really mind if you lost most if not all of your money because you don't come off as someone who is actually appreciating dee power of king daddy, and you likely need a wee bit of personal instruction from the school of hard knocks).

You might not have heard that is NOT good to be betting on DOWNity in a bull market.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Stop to be a f***ing stupid and arrogant guy.

Seems to me that there is nothing really stupid or arrogant about my comments regarding posts that you have made.  You have invited such responses based on the content and tone of your various other posts, and you are not really getting any better with the passage of time, as far I can see... but hey, who am I, besides some person who is responding on a public bitcoin thread?

Don't worry for me you know.

Why would I be worried about you?  With the passage of time, you have shown ur lil selfie to be quite less than a sympathetic figure.  Sure there might be some people who can relate to you or sympathize with you, but I doubt that too many folks in this thread do... and of course, I cannot really speak for others.  I am merely anticipating what others might be thinking about some of your previous nonsense posts.

I am into BTC since 200$ as long term holder.

That's good.  But still does not excuse some of the nonsense that you have been posting on this thread, especially recently.

I am in ETH since bit less than 1$ and still have half of my bag so... If you want to talk about money, can be really funny.

Have you not noticed, that in this here wee lil thread, we give less than one ratt's ass about your various shitcoins and whether you may have made profits and blah blah blah in regards to various shitcoins.  So you should just take those distracting and irrelevant ideas to some shitcoin thread.

I didn't loose anything,

That's too bad.  Hopefully your nonsense did not cause anyone else to either sell too much too early or fail to sufficiently stack.

i never make short trade.

Of course, that would even be dummer than I have currently ascribed to you.  So good thing that you are not that dumb.  Good for you, I mean.

If BTC would have dropped (or he will, because still possible. reversal is only on small units for now) to the 40-43K, I would/will just buy more because I have cash. that's all.

Sure, it remains a good practice to buy on dips, and there are folks who buy on much smaller dips - they do not require some bullshit pie in the sky 33% plus dip in order to buy or add to their stack of BTC.  So your earlier wishing for down and the other bullshit that came off as higher level of certainty than warranted are surely not appreciated by yours truly, and probably there are others in this here thread that are irritated by your acting like you know something, which you don't seem to know much more than anyone else here even though you had been ascribing relatively high levels of certainty to your BTC price projections and expressing such wishes as if they were going to be fulfilled (which so far they have not, and so far the BTC price seems to be moving against your earlier wishenings.. sucks to be uie-pooie - to have your wishenings frustrated, at least so far.).

You're entirely correct, on the surface it makes no sense why they would continue doing this, as they could just disappear with their wealth and live on forever.

So why go through all the hassle and public ridicule? I don't believe it's all just ego-driven. In fact, Craig Wright knows very well that he is not Satoshi, and that he is a liar.

My theory is that they are secretly being paid under the table (by the Wall Street corrupt) to continue FUDing and being antagonistic toward Bitcoin.

The message is clear: Bitcoin needs constant negative press, constant FUD, and prominent "enemies", essentially forever. Because without these spectres and worries constantly hanging over Bitcoin 24/7/365, the Average Joe public would be given the green light to rush in with both fists and ditch the USD entirely.

There are others being paid too. Ask yourself, why would someone like Nassim Taleb just, out of nowhere, flip a complete 180 on Bitcoin? There is only one logical explanation.

As I have stated repeatedly I am of the opinion that he is a pawn of TPTB and is playing out their agenda.

Anyway I will not loose time with you, as you still keep your condescending tone. But I can apologize, if you are (most probably) American !

As you seem (or want) to be kind of  BTC Guru. BTC is the king yes. But not 100% of the other things are shit. And if you can make (more) money on some others as well, I don't see where is the pb.

My last message for the 40-43K was so stupid for you ? Ok please explain me where. We just felt down from 59K, then from 55K, then from 50K without any sign of power from BTC to make any reversal. We printed new local bottom. So yes, a down from 35% from ATH was on the table. And it is still on the table right now, even if the odds getting lower. We just mad reversal on small units right now (H4). Will see what's happen for daily candle, and mostly for weekly candles before crying victory. Just a fact. Nothing stupid on what I said.

Then if we go straight to 100K+ in 2 weeks / 1month  trust me I would be very happy on it.

What a meaty thread.  I should feast later, though it’s too bad that SwayStar123 mistook my sincere attempt to engage with her constructively as an invitation to Argue On The Internet.  No wonder this is such an extremely toxic community!  Helpfulness is unacknowledged; and fresh perspectives are merely an opening for knee-jerk reactions, instead of an opportunity to learn something new.  Sad!

As for the whole meat thing...I suspect that the media is working in overdrive as they support the NWO plan on getting us all to eat cockroaches. I just can't believe that people on this board are spouting off the propaganda as if it's all true. People who know how much they lie about Bitcoin and still believe their lies about meat. It's a damn shame. Maybe the media has been too kind to Bitcoin...it was perhaps a better filter when it was being attacked as just being used for drugs on the darkweb.

It is religiosity.  People who leave traditional religions (or are raised without them) usually find a modern substitute.  theymos has his transhumanism, for example.  Hereby lately, I have also been ignoring a quasi-religious theological war between the Marxist wealth redistributors, and the Reformed Capitalists who repose their faith in the godliness of the free market; there is not much sense on either side.

Veganism is attractive to those with Puritanical tendencies, such as those with a prior history of demanding the deletion of the Wall Observer.  It is based on self-denial of things that are healthy and pleasurable.  It is loaded with thou shalt not.  Meat is sinful.  Vegans now even have a doomsday eschatology:  Cow farts are literally destroying the world!

Cf. my previous observations on Greta Thunberg and the Children’s Crusade.

Now, take a walk through the religions of the past and present, and see how many more or less deprecate the eating of meat.  Comparison and contrast is left as an exercise to the reader.

Quote from: Nietzche (tweaked by nullius), Twilight of the Idols
He looked like a caricature of man, like an abortion: he had become a “sinner,” he was caged up, he had been imprisoned behind a host of appalling notions. He now lay there, sick, wretched, malevolent even toward himself: full of hate for the instincts of life, full of suspicion in regard to all that is still strong and happy.  In short a “Christian.” “vegan.”

disgusting. you meat lovers are fucking psychos.

You do understand that without meat you wouldn't exist or if you would, you wouldn't be able to put together an intelligent line of words?

Fact check:  He can’t put together an intelligent line of words.  Evidence is above.

Anyway<edit>, since you spoke of evolution in part of the quote that I snipped in my haste here</edit>...

Vegans, as most liberals and other religious fanatics, are evolution deniers who believe in human exceptionalism.

The cat hunts mice, the wolf hunts deer, the lion hunts gazelle—but o talking monkey, thou shalt not.

In truth, talking monkeys are only exceptional inasmuch as their brains swelled up until they became stupider than other animals.

Bitcoin down 25% last week and this place is discussing meat.

Yawn.  It will be back up.  Hey, didn’t I say that Bitcoin is boring (and that’s a good thing).

Thank me later for the increase in discord brought by my innocent little quote from the founder of the Satoshi Nakamoto Institute.  Meat is totally on-topic in any Bitcoin thread!

I am a person of faith... I even have some education in theology.   And I agree strongly with your basic assertion that  veganism can be attractive in the same way much religious expression can be attractive.  It is often held as a sort of righteous ascetism, or self flagellation.  The ethical arguments for vegetarianism have been beaten to death, but those who still hold closely to the tenets of this sort of "faith" cannot be easily convinced.  I have no personal beef (lol) with these people and what they want to practice, for 'health' OR 'ethics', but I am also annoyed by their crusader like tendencies.

It is as if the sorts of personalities who would be crusaders for a religion can express the same sorts of things in the name of the 'environment', or 'the animals', or 'equity' (barf).  These folks are the disciples of zeitgeist following the post-modern faith of humanism, and they claim for their holy scriptures: 'Science'.  Although what they call science is also so strange.  We have heard the phrase "trust the science" from these folks a lot recently.  A quasi-religious phrase in itself, and about as anti-science as you can get with just three words.

I cannot help but also be reminded of the sanctimonious actions of the antifa "black bloc" types storming restaurants and demanding people repeat certain phrases, raise their fists or somehow otherwise genuflect.  To me this is the same sort of (strangely fascist) "convert or die" sort of attitude that has been also used by various extreme religious folks.

I would put forth that this can be a natural progression for people who have no healthy faith in the first place and they are just as annoying, and possibly even more dangerous than those who act this way in the name of God.

I reiterate, Bitcoin is boring.  A snoozefest!  I sleep quietly at night, with my life savings in Bitcoin.  So sleepy, it is.

If it makes you feel any better, gold is even more boring than Bitcoin.

If you want excitement, there are altcoins that recently gained 100x and then flash-crashed.  Wheeee!  Which ones will recover, and which ones will just slowly slide away into irrelevance?  (If it makes you feel any better, you can enjoy similar excitement at a Bitcoin casino.)

Now, was there supposed to be some kind of a Bitcoin crash?  Zzzz.  See?  I am not the only one:

Boring!

“King Daddy” tells a good bedtime story:  “Once upon a time, I bought Bitcoin.  The value is still there.  Number go up.  Hodl.  Happily ever after.  The end.”

At this point, Bitcoin is much more boring to me than keeping money in the bank.  What will the bank do with my account?  When will they demand more dox to let me use my money?  (If you have not enjoyed the pleasure of this experience, then congratulations:  It means that you have no privacy, and you are already in all of the corporate mass-surveillance databases that I avoid.  The bank already knows everything about you.  I don’t exist.  I am an unperson.)  Will depositors be required to take a haircut during a recession, as as happened in some countries?  They like to keep me in suspense!

EDIT: I see the bulls are back in town. Hooray to the bulls!  Cool

Henry Ford proposed an "energy currency" as the foundation for the world's financial system in 1921. A century later, we have #Bitcoin
https://twitter.com/DocumentingBTC/status/1386406362209345540?s=20

I have been looking into the feasibility of such a thing a lot lately. I believe Saylor has looked into it in depth as well as I noticed that he mentioned some of the numbers on energy loss on transferring over distances.

I believe it would require superconductor technology close to room temperature for it to be feasible but I think the implications of such a thing would be awesome.

Imagine having a thumb drive with 10kWh on it that you could transfer 1kWh to someone in a few seconds. Something that you can take home and plug into your house and have a night's worth of energy or get paid for 2 weeks of work and it gets transferred to your car which you can plug into your home and top up your hot wallet as needed.

This would encourage advances in energy storage and creation. The world would be abundant in energy such that we could have a lot of very advanced technology, translating very well into moving into space. Even such that people mine space for energy with more efficient generation closer to the sun while transferring energy back to Earth.

The only thing standing between us and that type of currency is technology. Technology that advances yearly at an exponential pace the closer we get to it.

Henry Ford wrote many interesting things, another I recall quite related to Elwar’s last paragraph there..

Really? lower 50% now own more land/resources than ever before? Cause this is a bitcoin forum and surely you wouldn't try to deceive by measuring "wealth" of lower 50% in absolute 2021 US dollars now would you?

Well, then why have brackets for everything else and leave 20% cap gain static for ultra wealthy, what makes it such a perfectly balanced number? Why was it fine at 35% in the 70s but now only a dirty commie would suggest bumping it to 21%? Following your logic on how filthy rich are more efficient than poor, then it'll be logical to raise taxes on poor and middle class (there's 0 chance they'll get us to Mars) and lower it for ultra rich? Then just hope really really hard that out of hundreds of billionaires that spend their money on hookers and blow and writing their names to be seen from space (as their rightfully should, it's their damn money Angry, new idea for Bob?) the next one hopefully turns out like Musk and decides to find cure for cancer?

This is just the US but the whole world is on a similar trajectory as long as we don't ruin it by some shortsighted socialist policies.

Because investment money is what allows businesses to be created, expanded, and to create jobs. Jobs aren't magical things that appear on their own. More taxes on investment money means less investment. You're not going to fix any of the wealth gap by increasing taxes anyway. They will not pay the taxes. They will just reduce investment or move to a more tax friendly country. Even when the rates were high in the past, they did not collect more taxes as a percentage of income. The wealthy will just change their behavior to avoid the taxes. It's game theory.

If you want to change the wealth gap for real and not as part of a socialist agenda, stop shopping at Amazon and using products or services from huge companies. We can go back to mom and pop shops and the wealth will be more evenly distributed.

Again, taxation will never change "wealth inequality" short of full on socialism/communism where the companies are taken away from the owners. The US tax system is already one of the most progressive in the world so stop complaining and enjoy what your ancestors built for you.

There are a surprising number of progressives / socialists here on what is a primarily a speculation forum. Its possibly what makes it a lively place for discussion.

There is one good example to compare both systems.

In 1953 Korea was divided.

Two countries starting off at same level after the utter destruction from war.

Today DPRK has GDP PPP of $1.700 whilst ROK has GDP PPP $47.000

So in the North you'd pay 30 years salary for 1BTC
In the South just 1 years salary for 1BTC.

Right, right, i see, so in the '70 where wealth was more evenly distributed, kids with a college degree were pretty much guaranteed a good paying job, 10yrs since NASA got us to the moon, and overall there was less civil unrest, in reality it was a North Korea because cap gain tax was at 35%? And anyone suggesting we go back to that is a dirty red commie, because ultra wealthy top 0.3% need more of our support just in case another one decides to cure cancer or something like that?

I thought you had put Rolling on ignore!

As you are so easily triggered, I suggest you really do put Rolling, Arriemoller and me on ignore.

Save yourself some grief.

Then you can get on with discussing the topic of Bitcoin.

Talking of which look ooo up 6.5k to $53581 overnight while I had a decent night's sound Hodl sleep.

Mrs Farmer Bill got over excited at 47k and bought $2k worth at $48k.

I am all in on both BTC and the farm, seed, fertilizer, fuel, labor all paid for. Nothing spare for more BTC.

Final input is patience.

Umm if you haven't noticed that was a reply to your post, you just happened to be quoting rolling yourself inside. Wasn't me who started discussing taxes on a BTC board, but guess i'm "triggered" and now need to find a safe space cause i replied to the BS stats that were being thrown around? Thnx for your suggestion, but you know

Welcome to the world of crypto... Mmkay..

Yeah, I’ve had a coinbase account longer than I’ve had a bitcointalk account..

I’m migrating my play coins to CB pro.. Haven’t used it since it was GDAX around 2017 iirc..
Both still have all my trade/TX histories..

Why would you support those segwit denying, blockchain bloating, bcash supporting assholes, use Gemini if you're in US.
