I remember back in the day that someone was talking about making a version of the Bitcoin code where you could just change a few configuration options and create a completely new coin. It almost feels like that happened (a few coins claim to have unique properties but it seems most are just money grabs)

Anyone can make a new token on Binance Chain (BNC) and start shilling it, most memecoins are coming from there as I understand. There are 10+ "fuckelon" tokens available for example and they popped out not much after Elons tweets. So you can probably make more than one in a day.

It's pretty stupid, I agree. But it brings more stupid money into the cryptosphere and isn't that a good thing in the end? We who think ourselves as smart money will benefit from that, or not?
