"Macro headwinds" vs BTC fundamentals...

1) on-chain (spot) demand keeps climbing
2) futures demand returns for the first time since November
3) capitulation has signalled
4) the market has fully reset
5) accumulation has already happened

Probably a decoupling will continue.

[edited out]

Its all well and good calling out crypto/shitcoin, NFT garbage the flagrant scammery that it surely is.
The problem is, like it or not, all this nonsense eventually leads back to a bitcoin platform.
As long as this plethora of silly scammy projects exist, bitcoin will be guilty by association.
As far as Joe Shmoe Normie is concerned, it's all under the same umbrella, in the big scheme of things.  And yeah that sucks, but that's reality.

Case in point.... this forum... as well as intelligent bitcoin discussions, you also have a community of of every scam shitcoin, NFT fanboys and girls under the sun.
(and a load of preposterous, political, piffle to boot)

Personally, I still believe that it is a good practice to continue to call out the shitcoin posters or those who are using vague amorphous terms while failing/refusing to clarify how bitcoin differs.

Sure, the calling out does not need to happen every time, but if it is not done regularly and frequently enough, even smart folks start to use the same kind of bullshit, misleading and non-specific language.

We have seen it in this very thread where relatively long term regular members attempt to argue that "there is nothing wrong with using the term 'crypto' because everyone else is doing it."  Those kinds of folks, even if smart and even if regular members, deserve whatever batslappenings that they receive.. and maybe even more..... and I am not even suggesting that some of the vague terms or the descriptions of happenings in shitcoins might not be relevant in this thread - but they seem to be much more relevant when guys/gals at least explain what the fuck they are talking about rather than just throwing out some vague language of "crypto" or shitcoin project 1, 2 or 3 or NFT project 1, 2, or 3 without some kind of context or proposition why it might be relevant (without coming off as a shitcoin pumper/shiller).. ..

Sometimes it can be difficult to determine if someone is pumping or shilling some shitcoin project, also. .but sometimes we will know it when we see it, too... use of vague language when talking about bitcoin and other projects, seems to be ONLY asking for trouble.. and we see seemingly really smart people making those kinds of basic errors in the real world, which surely causes at least yours truly to question if they are really as smart as they seem to be... can't even specify what the fuck they are talking about?... crypto 101 - specify what the fuck you are talking about... (hate to use the C-word, but I just could not resist)

During Chinese Warring States period, a man named Chuang-tzu had a dream that he was a butterfly flying from flower to flower, feeling free, blown about by the breeze.
Upon waking, he wondered, “Am I a man, dreaming I am a butterfly; or a butterfly, dreaming I am a man?”

Dreams often do not mean anything and when they do, we usually cannot immediately discern the meaning.

I've always been interested in the concept of 'lucid dreaming'. This is where you train yourself (masks, with blinkenlights) to actively take part in your dreams, you can then control them.

I read about it pretty hard several years ago, but some of the proponents were too auto-magical for me.

LOL, I knew this phrase sounded kinda odd...

Seriously, though, that woman was scary as hell. She had that innocent smile on her face while wrapping the wire around my neck.

I hope tonight's dream won't be a nightmare...
And I hope we leave $45k behind us for good while I'm in it.

Edit: Looks like the dream will be sweet tonight!

Seems like we have been hanging out in sub $50ks for long enough.. like a year, no?  I know we had ups and downs along the way, but spent a lot of time in these sub $50k prices already (and even spent a lot of time in the $50ks in early 2021.. which was getting to be a wee bit annoying for so much stucketty in that price area).. so surely seems that king daddy.. aka lillie fiend.. .. aka honey badger.. should be well getting its little selfie ready to at least go up a few stairs.. and perhaps even going up a whole staircase (even if a mini one) or two.. just to surprise some of the fence-sitters, the bitcoin naysayers, and other dumb twats (maybe not even dumb in a blamable way?).

So true... $50k+ would be a great price point to be at right now, on our way to ATH and beyond. That '4' in the leading digit is killing me, even in my dreams.

sorry.. I had to edit my post, because even $50k was starting to feel too doomy and gloomy... .. even though I will admit that having a 4 in the front is better than having a 3 or a lower number and for sure having a 6, 7, 8 or 9 would be better in the event we were to have to continue to settle for a mere 5 digits.... (you think I am being too greedy or presumptuous in my consideration that it may well be time to move on?).

Well it seems that the Indian government too is hell bent on taxing the shit out of crypto - just when it was becoming popular and gaining adoption, way to go folks. They just introduced 2 new taxes, one among them "TDS" which, in their words is "more for tracking, than an additional tax".

Here is a 2min video (reddit) for anyone who wants to look into the exact announcement/discussion

These taxes are going to be put into affect from April 1st, and I think this is just to discourage people from going into crypto rather than regulate it - atleast that's what the ruling government's every move seems to be about - just take control over every aspect of people's lives.

Also, I hate to be reminded that people with this level of knowledge are the ones in power and making decisions:

Quote
Dubey, the BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, said, “We have been talking about crypto since 2012-13, and all RBI governors during this time have said that crypto runs on the darknet (sic), that represents the future of hawala (money laundering), and that efforts should be made to stop it. In our standing committee report in 2013, we mentioned that cryptocurrencies were a looming threat to the world. But the UPA government didn't pay attention to it.”

He then mentioned the cryptocurrency bill, saying whether it legalised or banned crypto, “the situation that crypto has created worldwide is this. If you want to indulge in corruption, if you want to pay a bribe, you will do so in crypto. If you want to buy drugs, you will do it with crypto.”

Yep...I've actually spent some time thinking about what the NEXT crypto scam will be. Because we all know it's coming. They'll need it for the next bull run. I'm sure they are cooking it up as we speak, and I'm also sure that it will be even more bonkers and ridiculous that either ICOs or NFTs.

I'm thinking something like:

NFTs that point to ownership of some physical space (that can't legally be "owned"). Like a small portion of someone else's beachfront property. Or a canyon view. Or a piece of real estate on the moon, or an asteroid. Or a cubic piece of the ocean. Or a piece of an African sahara. Or an Indian reservation. Or, of course, a piece of VR real estate (aka land ownership in the metaverse).

Whatever the NEXT crypto scam is, I'm sure it'll be even more nutso.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Metaverse properties, no doubt. Smiley

I've always been interested in the concept of 'lucid dreaming'. This is where you train yourself (masks, with blinkenlights) to actively take part in your dreams, you can then control them.

I read about it pretty hard several years ago, but some of the proponents were too auto-magical for me.

Yeah, i also know this type of literature, but it all left me meh in the end.

I became interested in lucid dreaming after my first "accidential" lucid dream, which was the only one to date. It was in black and white, and while it was going on like a normal dream, a close friend came by and started chatting with me, up to the point where he said something like "but you know that we're in a dream right now? yes. You can do what you'd like to do, act like you want to, the dream will allow it."
Then i started to consciously experience the "dreamworld", with that distinct body feeling, like floating. Did some things, changed some scenes, played around a bit, found a bike and rode it, when i suddenly couldn't feel my feet operating the the bicycle drive any more. This was the moment where i lost control of the dream and woke up.

I was baffled and started to read about how to "train" lucid dreaming. The most common technique seemed to ask yourself repeatedly, at any time you think of it, like "wait... am i dreaming this?", ideally up to 100 times a day. The (more serious) literature's author(s) claimed that the mind gets trained to ask this question in your dreams, to make you aware that you're in a dream. Next step was to try looking at your hands (which were said to look unnaturally strange) and/or feet (which can't be looked at in dreams for some reason). This way you should get aware that you can set your actions willingly, at which point you can just change aspects of the dream(s) increasingly and become fully aware of doing it.

I tried to keep asking myself the "am i dreaming this" questions throughout the day, but i became distracted way too often (as a workaholic) to do it over about 20-30 times a day, for no more than a couple of consecutive days.

Maybe this is some sort of use for you, to try it again with more success.
