[...] I lost a job in 2022 [...]

Now thanks to Bitcoiun I don't need any more jobs - another job or customer lost is now quality lifetime won.

very much this.

bitcoin has allowed many of us the luxury of just, well, wall observing for example.

not a bad life imo.

But on a sidenote: You could really have had the dignity to fix my typo, now I am gonna be remembered as the guy who doesn't know how to spell that bytecan thingie that feeds him  Cheesy

So it sounds like we’re going to have a monster pump on Friday and an announcement that there will be no capital gains taxes on crypto after one year of ownership. I’m on board with these developments and can’t wait to see how the market reacts. Hopefully it isn’t a buy the rumor sell the news event.

Read it somewhere on the internet, huh?
You are disappointing. I thought you were one of the more educated and intelligent among us.
Considering to break my no-ignorelist policy, honestly, WTF?!

If propaganda media doesn't tell you something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You will understand eventually.... probably...

I always find that if I read something and it makes me want to hide it away, I should probably check myself.

(Actually vile content and excessive spam an exception, of course).

This woman bragged about her Crypto millions online.

Showed her (supposed) balance on screen to thousands of viewers. Which was also in a custodial wallet so...

There are some things about this that have some people suspicious but personally, I don't care enough (which is not at all) to pay it any attention.

i feel like a new pattern is forming. i think we might revisit the 92-93k levels tomorrow or the day after. after that, even a simple piece of news could pave the way back to 100k.

i don't think we'll move away from 100k anytime soon.

It somehow started around 10-15 years back, until then you could still trust the national public stations here and sometimes they really pissed some people off with their scoops, in fact they did bite the hand that fed them occasionally which was the best justification for their public funding.

The thing is, back before then, if they were lying, how would you know? If a politician changed their stance and complicit media was willing to cover for them, who would report it other than some 'nutjob' wearing a tinfoil hat in a trailer somewhere yelling at nobody? When they 'bit the hand that fed them', how much of that was carefully calculated to remove someone? (Remember when Howard Dean was put out of a race for what...? A celebratory yell? Who told people that disqualified him? [Disclaimer - I didn't even like Howard Dean but that never sat right]).

Media has been on the decline and ever more polarized though. It was kind of inevitable once Tim Berners Lee first typed '<html>' but a lot of it is that we can see what's going on now and have immediate recall of things that were said and done three, five or fifteen years ago.

Ah, OK. Still not great but a different thing then. My neighbor had chickens for a while (they ended up in my driveway one day) but they're gone now so I don't know if there were issues there.

With the eggs, I expect some return to normalcy as laying stock numbers return to previous levels. Increased inflation and fuel cost effects will still apply, of course.

It's a very good analysis, I don't know much about technical analysis, I know that yesterday in the news they said: "Bitcoin's very strong fall" and all that pure sensationalism, I don't give it importance, I know that btc will recover, I hope that the pattern you say is fulfilled, but it's a great moment to buy.

Yesterday's fall in the stock market caused many to panic, I think that many investors believed that everything was going to go down and no, bitcoin is not like that, there will always be weak hands.

I am worried that there will be a war, not only because I Know that the price of btc will go down, I am worried because there will be many dead and innocent people.

But not everything is bad, there is good news:

South Korea may approve Bitcoin ETFs if Japan moves first! – Here’s why

Quote
South Korea may follow Japan’s lead on Bitcoin ETFs.
Asia’s BTC ETF race is expected to heat up as Japan’s eyes legislation in the second half of 2025.
South Korea may jump on the BitcoinBTC ETF bandwagon following a softer stance by Japan on the cryptocurrency.

You could say that this is a setback that always happens in the markets.

This has been one of the most interesting times of my life.  Witnessing what you describe.  What is interesting to me is you either see it or you don't.  The worldwide coordinated censorship in the West is amazingly alarming.  And i understand that looking at the system as a polarized continuum of left<-->right you end up with one side WANTING what the news is saying to be true since it harmonizes more closely with their worldview... so from my viewpoint many are under a sort of spell.

I was under it too for quite some time
.  My own journey in this regard is something very powerful that I cannot really explain to others without them thinking I am crazy... so usually I keep my mouth shut.
Finally, somebody said it. I agree 100% - you are born, grow up, live part of your life (and even die in some cases) blind. Only some are lucky to start seeing while still young, I opened my eyes when I was 40+ already, but better late than never. It's a matter of experience, mental maturity or something else, I don't know.  Cool

Considering to break my no-ignorelist policy, honestly, WTF?!

so much fake news out there, you don't know who and what to trust these days... very hard to get first hand knowledge... Sometimes dangerous... especially when MSM cut and snip content to fit their narrative!...

I must admit i am glued to watching uncut/full streams without bullshit commentary, and then make up my own mind/conclusions on the situation... and mostly keep it to myself.... *** trying to stay off your ignore list!  Wink***

No worries.
Yesterday i saw an interview with "someone important" (don't remember who and what made his opinion important). He said that complex conspiracies are extremely rare, but people not clever enough to carry out, or knowingly take part in such complex operations, are many, many more (in general), so the probability that some accomplished result or claimed result of such operation is indirectly proportional.
Think about it. It's somewhat logical. Now, if Selensky would have accomplished said goals on his own, for example sell US weapons that the UAF got delivered, he himself must be veeery clever and skilled in OpSec to cover that. At the same time, the same people accusing him of such actions, point at him as the below average skilled Cokehead. One type of person that would never be able to successfully and covertly pull off the things he's being accused for, by idiots below average intelligence. And it's people of the same, and most sad, sometimes considerably above the intelligence levels of said idiots, that believe and spread these lies.

MSM, though, is something i really try to avoid. You see, i'm more interested in what i can see, feel and hear, i mean within my eyesight and/or earsight.
The real pest is Social Media, though. Additionally, it's something we don't even need.
Well, it might be of some need, but what could that be? ...Other than to have our Dopamine sucked out of our brains.  Angry

Both of you, if i understand you correctly, are right... well, mostly, kind of. It depends...
The censorship is definitely real. Sometimes it's just made to something bigger than it really is, by people that are not or no more obsessed by "the spell", to cite cAPSLOCK here, suspect censorship and news manipulation everywhere (*put Buzz Lightyear/Woody-meme here*), even like globally orchestrated message control, which would need enormous effort and common intelligence to get carried out without getting uncovered (see my reply to hislyness).

serveria, your statement is very philosophical, but in my case i was always questioning things. This was my way to the "other sides"  of things, but on the way i also found out that both sides are neither fully thrustworthy nor fully unthrustworthy.

EDIT: OK, and the WO is about BITCOIN  Grin So here we go:
Either we get retail FOMO started this cycle, or this time, it will be different. Maybe not in the way most of us here would favor.
The beauty of hodling is though, it doesn't matter much. Sometimes the noise is louder for longer, but King Daddy doesn't care.
