It happens occasionally when someone ask me what kind of profession i do. Will not tell them that i'm a retired Bitcoiner, instead using a lie that i work from home after Covid as a customer service employee for a cyber security company to prevent clients getting scammed/hacked. Always avoid talking about the company as much as possible while gaslighting scamming methods like fake email, SMS and letters, phishing etc. It works very well..lol. Only a handfull of peolle know because i can't lie to them like my sister. Anyway, i like this private life staying under the radar and be humble to prevent horrific situations like this... This woman bragged about her Crypto millions online.

watching my house insurance go from $500 to $1200 watching my car insurance go from $1000 to $3000 no claims in 30 years
is way more frightening and depressing.
edit prices are from 2019 to 2025
Watching Bitcoin go from $3K+ to $100K And though price increment are depressing They are still going to continue going higher While Fiat lower.

Not going to lie, falling from $109,000 to $78,000 was rather unsettling, for me at least. I know we’ve HODLED through similar and even worse corrections in previous bull markets, percentage wise. But for me, it feels a lot worse when you’re watching your net worth dump by so much money. The money involved now is so much more than it was when our coins were losing $40 each per day or something at the same % dip as we saw from $109,000 to $78,000.
Exactly this! Seeing your net worth (FIAT-wise) decrease drastically feels the worst this cycle. But don't forget 1BTC=1BTC. watching a wallet drop from $218000 to $156000 hurts. but watching eggs go from $1.39 to $10.00 watching lamb roast go from $39 to $67 watching lamb steaks go from $12 to $20 watching a loaf of bread go from $2 to $5 watching my garbage pickup go from $250 a year to $1500 a year. watching my house insurance go from $500 to $1200 watching my car insurance go from $1000 to $3000 no claims in 30 years is way more frightening and depressing. edit prices are from 2019 to 2025 I just bought 30 extra large eggs at Costco for CA$7.69 (US$5.35 which works out to US$2.14/dozen). I'm not allowed to cross the border with them though so I can't help you out that way but maybe with some advice? The US national average for a dozen eggs is $4.95 so you're just in an unlucky area harder hit by bird influenza policies. Maybe it would be more cost-effective to convert one of your altcoin mining sheds to a chicken coop and sell eggs instead? You don't have to let them run free but you can charge more money for them if you do

Percentage is the same, and even smaller. Yeah sure you let your amounts grow, and so if the "percentage drops" are bothering you, then you likely need to be selling more on the way up so that you are not so bothered by it (seemingly overallocated or over-invested in accordance with your own in ability to tolerate that changes.. even I think volatility levels that are not even as high (so far) as they had been in years past). I am hopeful that we don’t go below $80,000 again in this bull run now. As some have said already, March 7th could be just what we need to catapult us towards the next big leg up. As Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said - “The President definitely thinks that there’s a Bitcoin strategic reserve,” Secretary Lutnick told The Pavlovic Today. “Now there will be the question of, how do we handle the other cryptocurrencies? And I think the model is going to be announced on Friday when we do that.”
“A Bitcoin strategic reserve is something the President’s interested in. He spoke about it all during the campaign trail, and I think you’re going to see it executed on Friday,” Lutnick said.
“So Bitcoin is one thing, and then the other currencies, the other crypto tokens, I think, will be treated differently—positively, but differently,” he added.
https://thepavlovictoday.com/howard-lutnick-reveals-trump-to-unveil-bitcoin-reserve-strategy-at-white-house-crypto-summit/Let’s get ready for fireworks, thie bull party is about to start. Strap in boys, it’s going to be a ride you won’t forget. I think that the BTC price is also more inclined for up rather than down, but I am not putting my faith in diptwat politicians to pump my bags.. That would be retarded (or at least close to retarded). We should not be counting on politicians to do the right thing, even if you consider them to be seeming to be on your side in other ways, politically. Not going to lie, falling from $109,000 to $78,000 was rather unsettling, for me at least. I know we’ve HODLED through similar and even worse corrections in previous bull markets, percentage wise. Exactly this! Seeing your net worth (FIAT-wise) decrease drastically feels the worst this cycle. But don't forget 1BTC=1BTC. I get 1Btc=1Btc But do you really stare at the exchange and feel great that your Bank account suddenly increases in terms of BTC or do you mostly look at the exchange and hallucinate a net worth? A little of both perhaps? Also regarding to your previous post - is there such a thing as propaganda free media - besides the bitcoin network itself? Each of us should have the capacity to look at our various allocations that add up to our networth and consider from time to time if we might need to reallocate, or to convert what is "on paper" into some other kind of a form. Some of us have grown a lot more tolerant of just letting the BTC value fluctuate a lot in terms of its dollar value without getting too worked up about it, yet I think that our abilities to not get too worked up about the fluctuation in our BTC value is because we cash out some portion of it from time to time, and so we do not necessarily have all of our value in one basket. I personally think that it is better to be somewhat vigilant of the valuations and to reallocate from time to time rather than getting overly worked up about it. yeah, sure it bothers me too when there are BIG drops, but I still cash out small amounts - somewhere in the ballpark of 2% to 5% for each doubling, so that I am not as bothered by the volatility... and so therefore I have attempted to build in a bit of a buffer that is not 100% foolproof, but the buffer still mitigates some of the temptations to have extreme emotions on the inevitability of bitcoin's price volatility. One of the most guaranteed aspects of bitcoin is that it is going to be volatile, and we cannot really know the short term direction, and since we should know that bitcoin's prices are nearly inevitably volatile, then it seem to make sense to take some precautionary measures to deal with those inevitable dynamics, and the measure end up playing out to be both financial and psychological in their effects.

Not that I paid 10 bucks for a dozen. I got 24 large for 8.99 and purchased 72 of them. so 72 for 27. I then purchased 1 gallon of pure egg whites for 20 dollars I make omelette with four full eggs and 8 oz of the egg whites. it is just about 16 oz of egg. I use diced pepper, diced onions, brisket, kale, spices , tomato sauce and goat cheese fried in a large pan. it is really good for a diabetic. It serves six. Cost is about 25 usd including low carb soft taco bread. you get six maybe eight tacos one is enough for breakfast. What kills me is my high protein no grain diet gets more costly. steaks burgers lamb bison eggs all are really costly chicken pork are still fairly low cost.

Zelensky [stupid conspiracy theorist bullshit deleted]
Read it somewhere on the internet, huh? You are disappointing. I thought you were one of the more educated and intelligent among us. Considering to break my no-ignorelist policy, honestly, WTF?! If propaganda media doesn't tell you something it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You will understand eventually.... probably... True that. In our region (DACH) all commentators and reporters who were unwilling to go with the Zelensky = Angel, Putin = Evil narrative have been removed from their jobs. They still talk about the topic but they are heavily suppressed by the sorts of shadow bans. Same happened during Corona, it's not that there were no "experts" with a different opinion, they were just muted and removed from their jobs too and got labeled as conspiracy nut jobs. Our western society is now more soviet style than we would like to acknowledge. If you knew the good ole DDR you will feel very at home in modern Europe. Quoting the honorable former under secretary Nuland here: Fuck the EU! Also there is that pattern of telling everybody in dissent that they are just too dumb and too uneducated to understand the facts - which actually only reveals how poor the understanding of the terms democracy and fact is with these people. /end of rant from retarded Putler fanboy and antivaxxer tinfoil hat UAP believer conspiracy theorist (I can't really warm for the flat earth thing yet, but I am working on it).

You don't have to let them run free but you can charge more money for them if you do raising chickens for eggs is the organic version of asic mining for coin now. as chickens as egg producers/chicken soup is more profitable at the moment

This has been one of the most interesting times of my life. Witnessing what you describe. What is interesting to me is you either see it or you don't. The worldwide coordinated censorship in the West is amazingly alarming. And i understand that looking at the system as a polarized continuum of left<-->right you end up with one side WANTING what the news is saying to be true since it harmonizes more closely with their worldview... so from my viewpoint many are under a sort of spell. I for one stopped the antminers and started breeding chicken in my home mine: 14 eggs due in 16d 2hrs at the time of this posting. Hopefully we get 14 new female egg workers. Every one of them that does not identify themselves as she/her will end as spicy chicken wings.. Eggs is the new toilet paper I tell y'all!

Accordingly, if you had largely accumulated most of your bitcoin prior to 2019 (or even 2021 in my earlier example), then your bitcoin has appreciated way more than your cost of living has gone up. So largely bitcoin saves you from these matters, even though the various income that you have in dollars and your various dollar related investments have not gone up in value as fast as bitcoin and as fast as your dollar has been debasing. Yet bitcoin has gone up around 5-10x during that time.. so you largely need to establish your bitcoin investment and then let it ride for a while before you are really able to benefit from its appreciation in value relative to the debasement of the dollar and to not get sucked into some distractions in which you are cashing out of your bitcoin every year or every couple of years and complaining that bitcoin is not appreciating fast enough for you blah blah blah. There is nothing really suggesting that the strength of bitcoin's investment thesis is getting any weaker, even though the upside price appreciation may well have less of an exponential curve in the future as compared with the past, yet at the same time, it seems to me that bitcoin is already programmed to outpace the debasement of the dollar.. part of the wonders of actual scarcity as compared with manipulations of scarcity or creating the impression of scarcity. [edited out]

You don't have to let them run free but you can charge more money for them if you do That is one of the great things about something like eggs. They are pretty easy to make as long as the chickens are not purposefully killed. Every one of them that does not identify themselves as she/her will end as spicy chicken wings..

The two sentences in bold above especially resonate with me, couldn't say that any better, though I'd like to distance myself from implying that those who don't see it are cognitively limited. We grey folks actually learned in school and from our parents how and where to look for truths or better: critical thinking and that only seldom there is black and white - mostly it's shades of muddy grey. Nowadays they are just told to believe what the MSM influencers tell them ("They said he is an expert, so it must be true that it is a white one even I as layman see black there - science is amazing"). Looking for truth and critical thinking is not taught anymore, it's just follow the "experts". It somehow started around 10-15 years back, until then you could still trust the national public stations here and sometimes they really pissed some people off with their scoops, in fact they did bite the hand that fed them occasionally which was the best justification for their public funding. Funny thing is that the public today seems to have a very short attention span and if the MSM or politicians completely contradict themselves within like 2 or 3 years only, nobody even notices it anymore. And if you point that out, they just shrug with their shoulders. Regarding interesting times: Pretty sure, in the almost 60 rounds around the sun I have done I've never felt we are as close to either a platinum-style economic crisis or a very inclusive (non-binary and gender-fluid people individuals very welcome to it) world war. I suspect a really big crisis (not like "O noes - I gonna run out of toilet paper in 12 days") will help make the masses good in critical thinking again, I am sure of that. I was under it too for quite some time. My own journey in this regard is something very powerful that I cannot really explain to others without them thinking I am crazy... so usually I keep my mouth shut.
I have certainly expressed way more than is useful here lol.
See that's the great gift of Bitcoin. I don't have to care anymore, I lost a job in 2022 because I made joke about the safety record of a vaccine (well, admittedly that was not the brightest move when you get paid indirectly from big pharma's money - including some of the MRNA "experts" ) Now thanks to Bitcoin I don't need any more jobs - another job or customer lost is now quality lifetime won. That's not to say I am looking for these kind of discussions and arguments, but if necessary I have them and I really don't care anymore what people think. I am good with all my beloved ones (even so our opinions often differ) and that's all that matters these days to me. It also helps a lot when your partner has a similar mindset, that is not to say wifey and I agree on all opinions but its good food for long discussions that almost always benefits both of us in forming further our beliefs and opinions. I.e. that's how we defined democracy in ancient times. Also with discussions come drinks, so what's not to like on having different opinions? /end of rant from retarded Putler fanboy and antivaxxer tinfoil hat UAP believer conspiracy theorist (I can't really warm for the flat earth thing yet, but I am working on it).
