I somehow inadvertently inserted myself into this wager, out of frustration, mostly... However, i am more than happy to be the third adjudicator in this and also act as a third reminder of such wager! Rules are crystal clear, that i am sure i will not be needed.

Good Luck to you both!

$90,000USD Breched on BitStamp

WatChe You have lost the bet, please PM JJG to settle the wager!

Ah shit. Didn't even reach my 84.7K stop buy. I got too greedy. Oh well. 89K is still a bargain.

Over 7% is quite a drop. :/

Oh look, my stop buy triggered.

Don’t feel that way , bitcoin just going through some correction, putting those with weak hands to test , I know many will sell due to the recent dip , because they don’t actually understand bitcoin, as for me I don’t have any issue with the recent dip am just buying more , bitcoin is now in the range of $83k , given us chances to buy at cheap rate ( low coiners), the market now is all red and opportunity to buy more , bitcoin coming back with a massive surge just watch. Just play your part by holding and accumulating the dip .

So I get an email from coinbase.

They wanted proof I can afford to have an account with them.

This seems weird. It was definitely from Coinbase? They've done shady things before. I think they're trying to work out how to further monetize their customer base.

Yep I think its fucking nuts on their part.

Look If I had 300,000 on the account and 40,000 yearly income okay how did you do that.

Oh I could say I hodl.

I sent my joint bank account statements  with my wife.

They show 2500 usd in pension per month  and 20,000 in transfers from my wife. Which is around 50k last year.

Which is more than enough to justify 10k cash and 6k in coins.

It is legit I went on website to check. I did the bolded info by sending 3 months worth of bank statements.

As for 1)

I do not have an employer so I did not do it.

I am not sending my 300 page tax return to them to show my income from 2023 ( did not do 2024 yet)

I sent them undoctored full bank statements for 3 months.

Jan 1-31 2025 showed   8,560  in deposits
Dec 1-31 2024 showed 14,351 in deposits
Nov 1-30 2024 showed 15,472 in deposits

that is 37k +  for 3 months.

it meets all of bullet 2 and 3

bullet 1 is a no go as I do not have an employer

it clearly shows the federal pension checks and transfers from my wife.

They are simply asking for far too much info for a coinbase account that rarely exceeds 20k in value.

I pulled most all of the coins out of the account once this came.

I also pulled the cash out.

so the 16k that was in it is now about 300 dollars.

Fuck Coinbase, they closed my account without prior notice and without explanation. Well, at least they let me withdraw the funds.

I’m a little worried about trying to catch a falling knife so I am just watching. This price drop seems crazy though. All this triggered by a 1,5 billion dollar theft that is only 1/3 cashed out as of now? The whole thing seems fishy and manipulated. I’m numb to dips at this point, but I am concerned that I’m not seeing something that is happening.
