I'm beginning to think that being in stocks really is a disadvantage if you are in bitcoin as well. I'm in both though, but i don't trade bitcoins.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Me too, but I manage both separately, otherwise any and all gains in stocks is completely eclipsed by Bitcoin Tongue

So that means.. . you've sold! Is that right? You have balls, I'll give you that!  Grin

Hopefully not all.
I'm willing to bet 1 BTC that we correct again under 575$ before we reach 2000$.

I remember the moment when we hit 1000 USD, it was sooooo exciting!
This time, it is almost unbelievable, in such a short period after the crash...

I still believe we will see a downtrend in the next weeks wich will bring us to 500 USD in february/march.

But I must admit, this was unexpected for me Cheesy
(luckly, I am a hodler, so did not YET sell... But I will be thinking of selling some above 1000 USD)

not sure what you mean. the bolded statement should have made it clear that i was in proper position for this -- it in no way took me by surprise. i'm quite pleased with the profits, actually Grin however, we are far above the trendline now and we're going to pay for it later.

So that means.. . you've sold! Is that right? You have balls, I'll give you that!  Grin

profit-taking is different than selling. sell high, rebuy $10 lower, and you can squeeze so much out of a good, foolish, monday morning rally like this one.

tsk tsk you greedy mofos and your irrational behavior and your market inefficiencies that are lining our pockets Tongue

edit: wow, i've just noticed it isn't even monday! it used to be, in the old days, this kind of thing only happened when people's wire transfers rolled in at the start of the week. a weekend rally is a strange thing..

Yes. It's easy to assume that stock market thinking will work with Bitcoin, when it doesn't.

That would not be a profitable trade because of the fees (too small percent).

Who's expecting to see above 1000 USD on MtGox within a week?

I am!!!
Grin

up uP UP!

it grow by 80$ since yesterday and only 40$ to 1000$. So bitcoiner get conservative? You did you mean 10 000$ within a week? Wink

I stand corrected.  Wink

Above 1000 USD on MtGox Today!!!  Grin

We need slow growth, hehe. Cheesy

I think it will take a few days. 1000$ is hard to beat!

I think your right. atm it would take 3000 btc to break 1000. This could happen tomorrow, when usually the rally's starts. When we get close to 1000, we will probably break it right away i guess. Alot of confidence building up.

We will go through $1,000 and it will be like a knife through butter. Then I believe the odds are we will never see it again.

maybe. I don't know. I stopped gambeling and just hold Smiley But I think it is possible to go back to $850ish on gox first and then in maybe one week it will break the 1000.

Im going to take back my words. With the current rate we will break trough 1000 within a hour.

BTC-E sell orders very low - around 3.5k - isn't it normally in the 9-11k range?

If $900-$1200 wasn't a healthy price 20 days ago, it isn't one now.

wtf is this? are we rabid dogs? i just made as much as i made in the previous 9-day period in the last hour Shocked not efficient in the slightest, guys. prepare for some serious profit-taking at the end of this ride Undecided

sometimes i believe the whole bit about speculators enhancing liquidity and such but other times i think it's a load of shit and all of this volatility is greed and fear manifested. good job newbs Tongue

Arepo it appears to me you are losing your cool fast as you did not believe we were essentially past the China bubble.

Please tell me at what point you will accept that this thing is going to be much bigger much quicker than you thought it would be?

and boom! there she goes! big spike down, was 890 stamp the short-medium term top?

no

You don't need an opponent to win that bet : just buy 1.4036 BTC when its price is $575

When it reaches $2000 next, cash it out and you will win (2000-575)*1.4036 = $2000 = 1BTC

It's even better because if it doesn't reach $575 you don't lose anything.
