Bitcoin replaces central, not commercial, banks

Did you bother reading the article?

I can't find any explanation or arguments from which his theory of "BTC cannot become reserve currency" can be derived

Troll Swanson trolling as usual
Seriously?

EDIT: I guess every damn gvt in the world will want this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3eaz7b/an_economic_majority_will_ratify_a_hard_fork_by/

as a feature for their reserves!...

I see, we're dealing with a serious lack of foresight here.

Gvt of the world will not willingly convert to BTC. They will do it because their economy will eventually crumble and BTC will be the only safe asset left.

Here, some reading for you:

I think bitcoin will increase again after financial chaos at Yunani, my bro

We are "lucky" because we can watch the whole chart of the past. We(the new and current newbies) can learn from the mistakes of others. I learned it in a very conservative way. I was just reading old threads from the year 2011 and 2012. If you would erase the time stamp and the price numbers in these posts, you would think they are talking about the present price actions.

This is also a great thread to get a summarization of the mistakes made in the past: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=163258.0

Looks like Bitcoin did have a very small move up today, although I am not sure what caused it. I didn't expect to see a change in price today, mainly because it has been stable these last few days. It is a pleasant surprise to see that the price rose by $10 though.

Well good morning Bitcoinland.

Still over $280 I see. I think we can safely say we've left the $260s behind.

I won't declare the battle for $280 won until we hit $300 again.

It'd be nice to put that silly Wile E ledge GIF to rest though.

No sign of our lamented troll, fortunately.

Nice blip up in the price. It seems to be increasing with my tan.

I see us going back to to above $300 within a week. Give or take a few days. We need to hold over it for a few weeks to say bye to the $200s once and for all. Aztecminer saw this coming and sold his account to a FUD troll. Here's to seeing ya, kid.

I believe she (via sock) posted some over-sized GIFs and a P&D declaration a little while back, probably because it had crashed all the way from $287 to $285.

It seems Adam tidied it up almost immediately. Good work Adam or whoever.

Enjoy your Greek tan. I'm happy with the way the sunlight trickles through the maple trees. No need for sunscreen.

There's enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay and humidity is fairly low. The creek is babbling and so am I. Life is good.

One thing I have noticed is that during the bear market any period of stable prices was followed by an aggressive sell off. The reverse seems to be occurring since we broke the log downtrend line definitively.

We will need to send out a search party for tarmi, tzupy, NHJT etc if they don't check in soon.  Wink

Goat was different though. He was a bull, not a bear.

He's also permanently banned for sleaziness, I believe. I'm too summer lazy to look up the thread.

As this month is near to end i think it would be nice the price at least to be $300
I am thinking to predict that the price of the end of the year will be 500$
That would be perfect
