Welp, called that one perfectly: Anyone endowed with a minimum amount of common sense would have predicted that. When the price was 407 euros I set my buy limit at €382 and went to sleep (thankfully, or I'd have acted stupid). The question is: will it last?

If bfx is legit, then I wouldn't be surprised to see longs suddenly burst to $100M+ during the next serious rally as more lenders pour in to add fuel, like they did in the beginning on that chart.
Jeebus! If it turns out that $100M+ is sustainable in a rally that's going to trick a lot of people into ill-chosen shorts.
What the FUCK have you people been DOING!!??!?!?!!
THIS IS NOT OK!!!
Fight Club? Ok then. Carry on.

That post is awesome! People in those countries should read it! Also in Hungary: Date Notation HUF/1 USD 2014-12-12 1 BTC = 85,519 HUF 247.165 2015-01-01 1 BTC = 81,935 HUF 261.14 2015-12-11 1 BTC = 131,347 HUF 288.965 That is also 60% increase in BTC price versus HUF, and 17% decrease in HUF vs USD in 1 year, which is mitigated if someone is in BTC. Sooo many people just park their money in the bank, or in some silly bond with a 3% /year interest rate, while loosing 10-20% of value on real purchase power. http://www.likeforex.com/misc/historical-rates.php?f=BTC&t=HUF&y=2015&page=page%3D1

And china shit theirs pants It was foreseeable Was it China? It looks to me like the heavy volume during the dump was on the USD exchanges (well, stamp and finex) - on the CNY exchanges volume didn't seem to change during the dump.

That post is awesome! People in those countries should read it! People in most of those countries already know about devaluation and inflation hence why they are ever vigilant of safer assets (gold, real estate, hard currency, mechanical equipment, btc, etc etc) It's westerners that do not understand that, and, by extension, not realizing the consequences of BTC.

It's probably just Christmas. I've been waiting for the price to climb as high as it can before about the 20th so I can sell and use any realized profit for presents. I expect small batches of sell offs between now and the 24th on USD exchanges will continue to happen as people find things they want to give as gifts.

It looks to me like the heavy volume during the dump was on the USD exchanges (well, stamp and finex) - on the CNY exchanges volume didn't seem to change during the dump. Just petty Westerners overly anxious and with their eyes fixed onto the Chinese candles trying to anticipate any move. It's probably just Christmas. I've been waiting for the price to climb as high as it can before about the 20th so I can sell and use any realized profit for presents.
