I think saying "the demand is in China' quite possibly one of the most bearish things you can say, after everything that happened in 2013-2014 with PBOC and all the fake volume. I came back here after 2 years expecting Chinese would be completely factored out of the price levels by now and that everything would be based on USD and adoption. I even expected it would be $1000 by now, all based on USD and adoption. Saying that $460 is 'supported by China' is like going way back in time and being a bear.

I wouldnt say the demand is in general in china, just a snapshot at this price level at this time. My interpretation of the sentiment is: west is waiting to buy the dip while china is still in buying mood.
Maybe it's because chinese havent so many options to invest their money, gold and shanghai composite doesnt look attractive and they could fear cny/cnh devaluation.

In general the demand in the west should be very different from 2013 because there are more institutional investors now, GBTC and ETFs, regulated exchanges.

Wow.  I have pretty much abandoned this place, but this post was a blast from the past. Then I saw that you have been posting like a champ recently. Thought you left bitcoin to learn forex or something like that after your investor friend told you that the banks would destroy bitcoin. Guess he missed the boat on that call. Wink

Anyway, hope you are well. Peace out.

The banker told me I had '3 months to sell bitcoin', which was when it was at $700, so in a way, he was right, provided that I re bought eventually. Anyway I didn't leave for forex, I left for my career and my sanity. Though I did try Forex, and I didn't really like it. Way too much leverage/risk in both directions, no volume indicator, and too many news events with something happening all the time to effect the price in a completely unpredictable way.

Somebody who lost 30 grand would not be asking this forum what to do.

Yep... hahahahahaha      Cheesy Wink

seems kinda  1)   troll-ish, 2) made up or 3) retarded

Or 4) a kid who thinks being a trader is cool.  Smiley

That would fall under the category of "retarded."    Wink Wink

Call me a liar all you want, it doesn't change the fact that I have been in this game since 2011. I mined over 3000 bitcoins with the array in this video. I am the owner of the ROBOT-ARMY, which was in the top 10 mining arrays on deepbit. I was running 14GH in 2011.
Why does it surprise you that someone that lost 30k on a bogus exchange would be here. In bitcoin world, 30k is peanuts.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mR_V90AgL4

Nobody here is calling you liar.

Its just your attitude that is very competitive and arrogant that doesn't seem to fit others. Including me.

How much nicer can I put it?

... when you've been through the crap and had the FUD thrown at you we have bringing bitcoin into the world you'd have some attitude too ... 14GH in 2011 is pretty respectable, i knew i liked this guy.

bitcoin ain't for wimps, never has been.

Agree with Marcus here. 14GH in 2011 is impressive. Very impressive. Kudos.

Maybe, but CP was still a goofball poster - with what appeared to be some kind of psychological problem or a trolling problem, and it looks like the moderators removed a lot of his bullshit, self-aggrandizing, distracting troll posts....

I wonder if there will be a serious assault on 500 this week?

It looks more likely than a fall back down to the low 400's.

ripples exchange is going DOWN. u got literaly one month get ur stuff out of ripple exchange or "you wont be able to access it."... sounds like a money grab to me.

Thanks for the warning. That explains why it's crashed almost 50% in the last 8 hours. First they wanted KYC ID, and now they're abandoning the whole rippletrade platform. It brings home how crappy a centralized platform is when one entity can shut it down in a month, or faster if they want.

The funny thing is, when "fintech experts" are talking about "The Blockchain" they think they're mostly talking about ripple-like solutions. I wonder if they will wise up or learn on the way down. Western Union has a project with Ripple Labs, while VISA has been working with the Bitcoin Blockchain. i guess WU doesn't like existence very much.

well ripple dropped some lifeboats. apparently it has to do with us regulations... i have not logged into rippletrade in a longtime cuz i did not have a reason too. i haven't been doing anything since all my bitcoins are in cold storage and staying there...i haven't been trading bitcoins...i do not have any to trade........and i didnt even know ripple had gone up recently. i will look closer... whoever GateHub is... and into cold storage.. never know what else i might do.

To be honest, I just had an instant moment of panic when I saw your chart. Then suspicion of red/green blindness, then I read the text.

I would expect further drop.

China ate the last dump instead of letting it fall, so it looks like they're trying to build a $450 USD base.
