Just wondering, how does our current rate of increase compare with that which we saw prior to the last ATH in 2013?  Say, average $/day increase in the month preceding ATH?

(EDIT: I didn't phrase that very well. Just wondering what the average daily rise was in the month preceding $1175]

I was just thinking about that sort of thing.

In spring of 2011, the doubling of prices took days. In winter/spring of 2013 it took a week or 2. In autumn of 2013 it took weeks.

This time it's taken 4 months.

This rally is just getting started.

I will hold my 0.023 BTC to 10k before dump.

I was trying to analyze the trajectory myself.  Just switch to weekly candles and logarithmic mode.  The mtgox data is still available on BTC wisdom if you want to look at 2011

Remember there are intra rallies and ATH rallies and if it breaks ATH then it is longer and becomes superparabolic (parabolic on the log chart...)

and you should, imho. i had good experience in all regards with stamp. i had funds @bitcoin24 when it got closed by german authorities, i had funds on bitcoin-central when it got hacked. i had funds on gox when it was hacked twice 2011 and when it was hacked 2014. i had funds on bitstamp when it got hacked jan.2015. while bitstamp hack i was relaxed because i knew those guys would not let their customers bleed. during all the other hacks i was getting nervous.

I don't think it's ever done a proof of reserves since it got hacked, and it wants more KYC than some other exchanges. The exchanges that want retinal scans, passports, bank statements, fingerprint scans, mortgage scans, 20 different types of government ID, etc aren't the most popular exchanges. Nobody knows why, it's just the way it is.

haha the funny thing is i dealt with all those companies too (except bitcoin24). so glad i just used them all as on ramps and didn't chose to park my car there. i feel so bad for the people that lost their coins on gox.

Yes indeed, although its an unrelated problem it's exactly when that KYC bullshit was implemented that Cryptsy went down. Since then, I stay away from exhanges with KYC policies.

It's such a shame.  Bitstamp was a key player in the last few rallies with large volume and sort of legitimized them.  Bitstamp is one of the few places where we knew the volume was 'real'. Bitfinex is leveraged and has low fees,  and CNY pairs have zero fees.

I'm not interested in sending them my bloody tax documents for the honour of withdrawing, not that I have any anyway as I burn all my post. Their support also uses the word 'kindly' when they're trying to get you to spread your legs. I detest the use of this word in that context so they ain't getting any more of my business for that reason alone.

I am guessing you are looking at USD trades.  They opened up EUR trades a while ago, before that SEPA deposits were automatically converted to USD.

I sold a bit now .. 10-20% .. I think its a correction or something... waiting for a bigger dip 10-15$ .. then buy back in... What do u think? Smells and looks like a correction.. must be a small correction...
