The only reason it's going down now is because I just learned that instead of being able to buy btc I instead have to spend several thousand on my teeth. Wait, do we really need teeth? Women seem to like them so I guess we need them.
Hold your coins. Buy brand new teeth in the year 2021. You can choose for the most expensive teeth by then.

Ya'll think 4k will hold?
Don't think so No chance I think it should hold. West is starting to lead. Bid order books looks ok to $600. But can never rule out flash crashes and long squeezes short term

I see a bunch of technical analysis having predicted this, but did they predict the Bitfinex thing? Where does the line between TA and self fulfilling prophecy meet or is it rude to ask this question?

If the market was very bullish, the bitfinex hickup would be forgotten within an hour, and would not have had an impact on the price.

Ok, so Segwit will happen now, I guess(?). How will decentralization and security be maintained within LN? Is there agreement on this?

Anyone can be a Lightning node. The security is cryptography. I will definitely be a node if I can, make some money just for having bitcoins.

How will decentralization and security be maintained within Lighting Network? How will decentralization and security be maintained within Thunder Network? How will decentralization and security be maintained within ChangeTip Network? who cares, what matters is the decentralization and security of Bitcoin, if you dont like Lighting or Thunder or ChangeTip... use Bitcoin instead!

Clif High says 14000$ this year based on his webbot He said 2000$ as basis and fluctuating on that... *Edit: ... and after the New Year of 2016 in to 2017 till summer will try to go to 14k dollars! Full video of what the web bot predictions say about bitcoin here: https://youtu.be/LyvTTtdjsz0?t=5m37s-------------------------------------------------------- But anyway ... it is 19:30+ in China ... people are coming back from work!!! They are starting to trade and pump again! If this doesn't turn out the way he says he will lose almost all the credibility with his webbot because people are watching closely.

Bear Trap , Ethereum investors and devs dumping their btc out of retaliation against bitcoin maximilists telling them the hard truth, or simply a correction from miners withholding and not taking a higher profit?
Bottom line is... I' don't care , still buying.

The idea is to have multiple - interoperable versions of the LN(separate teams of devs and separate repositories) like their are already and for these nodes to be cheap and easy to maintain like mining btc was back in the cpu days to insure decentralization. The cherry ontop is when we can incorporate tx fee sharing between the nodes and miner to incentivize full nodes.

This dump was a joke: When it dumped, the sell side walls on Finex were fake all the way up to like $650. It was the same quantity and size of walls that were used during the entire rally that are always pulled. It was just an orchestrated pre-halving china shakeout. There was actually 0 resistance all the way back up to pre-dump price, which is why it's about to shoot back up again.

As a general rule, forget about news and short term fundamentals, they are only a distraction (unless something really big happened, like a flaw in the bitcoin protocol or something). The dump has nothing to do with the bitfinex fuck-ups or shitcoin pump and dumps. I don't even follow the "news" to decide when to buy and sell or use margin. I only know of the bitfinex problems and the etherium /DAO thing because some people mentioned in this thread. Otherwise I couldn't care less and nobody should.
