I'm sure you will get it all back, just sit tight. You bought in a the peak of this last run, but another should be coming soon  Smiley

I am a bit surprised to see btc fall as it has in a day,,, but the rise was rather sudden and fast. I'm chalking it off as a correction. Its now where I would have thought it to be this close to halving.... I still say 800-900 at halving time with a little luck perhaps.

or perhaps the catalyst that signaled the trend reversal was BFX going offline . just speculating .

I'm sure it has something to do with it. Folks are a little jumpy after "the other news" a few days ago with "another coin"  Grin

So long as it was not a hack etc. I think the fear of (bfx) going offline/freeze will pass quickly.... I hope!

https://bitcoincore.org/en/meetings/2016/06/16/

Segwit testing already done , but Devs are delaying releasing as RC1 for 1 week to allow some more testing on Compact Blocks that they want to release at the same time.

Yes, we are unexpectedly getting compact blocks soon with the 0.13.0 version!   Grin

Bullish!

Could you perhaps tell your contacts to lighten up on the announcements?

We've all been a bit overwhelmed by all the Bullishness lately.

Angry FML I was this close to getting out at $780. But noooo, I had to be at work on Friday only to find out after I get home the price had plummeted below $700. This action is like a sick joke, taunting me. Oh well, I waited a few years, what's another few weeks (assuming the halvening affects the price positively)?

You're delusional if you believe of a rapid price change on the day of the halvening

Just like passing the event horizon of a black hole you will feel nothing yet what will happen afterwards is inevitable.

I thought you'd get burned up by all the light that's suspended there that cannot escape?

Sean Carroll is amazing.  It's almost 90 minutes and I've watched it twice.  Cryptography is even mentioned in the first minute, hi Alice and Bob.

that DAO/ETH fuck up completely killed the momentum

When ethereum launched you could see in vitalik's eyes there were going to be fuck ups. I thought they would only affect ethereum, but they seem to have affected bitcoin both positively and negatively. Immediately after the hack it was positive for bitcoin, but the ethereum dead cat bounce afterwards was negative for bitcoin.

its bad because it brings back old and very painful memories for the btc community. woithout this mess we would be talking right now if btc is able to get over 1000 or not, but so? i dont know but the halving will have no immediate effect and a real halving rally wont happen with just a few days left, so that thing is already done.

Remember, we cannot have a cup and handle pattern without actually making a handle. People shouting oh noes, we need this dip in order to finish the handle (this formation was inevitable).

This screenshot from an automated technical indicator site says it's a strong buy on the week and month scale, so things might not be as bad as they appear. The indicators aren't always correct but it's something to consider.
