Next target is $1337
Dayum. Forgot all about good old 1337. Way cooler than 420 or 666. Still, I'd prefer $9999. At that point I'll probably buy BTC4 worth of something and call it a profit-taking. It would equal the cost of my total Bitcoin investment.

The last time I got impatient a few months ago I converted several BTC in gold and silver, right after a +30% rally of PM and BTC flat in the 400s. Since then, a few months ago, PM went nowhere and BTC is up 30%+, so I would be much better off if I did nothing. When in doubt, doing nothing may be the best option.

BTC is not a transaction type of currency, it is a store of value currency.
I prefer to think of it as a value transfer system. Most people other than speculators who use Bitcoin, use it to send money quickly and cheaply to other parts of the world, at least at this time. Quickly is probably overstating things. You can send BTC easily enough, but the process for converting to a locally usable currency is still pretty awful. As far as being a store of value it's not a very good one right now. Storing value implies value can be predicted over time, and with BTC that isn't the case, yet.q

Normally when there's a lack of price movement for a long time there's nobody posting in this thread. This time's different, there's people posting who haven't posted for months. That's bullish, if people haven't lost interest after a long period of stagnation it's a good sign.

Block size is not a concern for BTC because BTC is not a transaction type of currency, it is a store of value currency. Nobody cares if it takes 10 minutes to transact in bitcoin because that has been how long it has taken for confirmation since inception. And nobody that is waiting 10 minutes is buying a cup of coffee.
A store of value currency, that's value is based on artificial scarcity is a foolish concept. Best store of value is in goods, that actually are scarce, and therefor hold solid value. If store of value is mostly based on speculation and faith, then it's too fragile to be a proper place to store value, because those 2 things are anything but predictable and static. Currency itself hasn't been created for storing value, but to transact value and by that help the dynamics of economy. It's the dream of fat lards, that currency would hold or even enlarge their wealth, while they sit on their ass. Economy, nor even evolution doesn't work like that. Fat lards won't get rewarded for their laziness and the basic principle of currency will remain - your wealth will shrink if you won't keep it moving and your wealth will only enlarge if you work with it by developing new economic paths. Yup; this Block size issue is a very big hurdle in BTC's way. Artificial scarcity won't work at making it more valuable if BTC is not more useful. Right now, we should use Paypal as the comparison benchmark to evaluate how useful is BTC.

That's bullish, if people haven't lost interest after a long period of stagnation it's a good sign. Bitcoin is our ideal, our goal, for as many reasons as there are people posting here. So of course we haven't lost hope; the alternative is for us to fall back in the ranks of traditional and unfair financial society: Never! BTC represents innovation and bottom-up development. Now about the price "stagnation", for more action I would look elsewhere, with the altcoins...
