Good morning Bitcoinland. Look where we are this AM, back to $666. Maybe all those little "Satanist" kiddies are right, LOL. At least it's higher than $420. Personally I want to see $9999. Next target is $1337 Confirmed. imagine we are stuck at 666 for 6 months DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM Imagine 6 years 6 months and 6 days

Normally when there's a lack of price movement for a long time there's nobody posting in this thread. This time's different, there's people posting who haven't posted for months. That's bullish, if people haven't lost interest after a long period of stagnation it's a good sign.

Block size is not a concern for BTC because BTC is not a transaction type of currency, it is a store of value currency. Nobody cares if it takes 10 minutes to transact in bitcoin because that has been how long it has taken for confirmation since inception. And nobody that is waiting 10 minutes is buying a cup of coffee.
A store of value currency, that's value is based on artificial scarcity is a foolish concept. Best store of value is in goods, that actually are scarce, and therefor hold solid value. If store of value is mostly based on speculation and faith, then it's too fragile to be a proper place to store value, because those 2 things are anything but predictable and static. Currency itself hasn't been created for storing value, but to transact value and by that help the dynamics of economy. It's the dream of fat lards, that currency would hold or even enlarge their wealth, while they sit on their ass. Economy, nor even evolution doesn't work like that. Fat lards won't get rewarded for their laziness and the basic principle of currency will remain - your wealth will shrink if you won't keep it moving and your wealth will only enlarge if you work with it by developing new economic paths. Yup; this Block size issue is a very big hurdle in BTC's way. Artificial scarcity won't work at making it more valuable if BTC is not more useful. Right now, we should use Paypal as the comparison benchmark to evaluate how useful is BTC.

That's bullish, if people haven't lost interest after a long period of stagnation it's a good sign. Bitcoin is our ideal, our goal, for as many reasons as there are people posting here. So of course we haven't lost hope; the alternative is for us to fall back in the ranks of traditional and unfair financial society: Never! BTC represents innovation and bottom-up development. Now about the price "stagnation", for more action I would look elsewhere, with the altcoins...

^Worst Statue of Liberty cosplay ever.
and this is the slowest, weakest drop ever.
"Molasses, waist deep, covered the street and [very slowly -ed] swirled and bubbled about the wreckage ... Here and there [very slowly -ed] struggled a form—whether it was animal or human being was impossible to tell. Only an upheaval, a [very slowly -ed] thrashing about in the [very slow -ed] sticky mass, showed where any life was ... Horses [very slowly -ed] died like so many flies on sticky fly-paper. The more they struggled [very slowly -ed], the deeper in the mess they were [very slowly -ed] ensnared. Human beings—men and women—suffered likewise [very slowly -ed]."--wikipedia

Price seems to have lost a lot of steam. Sideways for months again maybe? Which wouldn't be bad thought if we can keep these levels without major dumping action.
At least from an investor point of view. As a active trader this is horrible.

determinism says that, that the past, present, and future is identifiable as an unbreakable chain of circumstances of which no single link in such a chain could possibly be avoided or altered. so if there was a entity that knew everything about everything he could predict the future, because for any one moment there is only ONE possible physical further moment. - The Truth
and so i say:
Existence precedes essence, but the the truth precedes all.
Unfortunately, quantum mechanics and a hundred years of thought and experimentation have laid waste to determinism in the way you're thinking. At any 'point' in time, there are many future possible outcomes for the next closest future 'point' in time. All outcomes have known probabilities. One such outcome is randomly chosen from an observer's point of view. That is true randomness btw - not just a lack of information. does it really make any difference if the next possible outcome is chosen by true randomness or a predetermined set of random? the end result is the same, we get an immutable chain of events which no one can really control. i guess your suggestion that the future cannot be predicted because of the true randomness factor. it would be interesting to understand how they have determined that true randomness actually exists... not sure what you mean by a 'predetermined set of random', but I'll assume you mean a fixed probability distribution . Either way, the outcome is not as you said: 'for any one moment there is only ONE possible physical further moment.' The rest of it is interesting but not where I intended to go in a bitcoin trading thread. FYI, I'm in the everett many worlds interpretation camp, if that helps ya.
