Buy the dip is a fools errand. I'm not even sure buy the crash is wise at this point.
The "bitcoin can only go up, buy every dip!" crowd has been getting rewarded for an abnormally long amount of time, so it's inevitable a bear market rape correction sweeps in at some point to dislodge a fool and his money.

Yes, it's called gamblers fallacy. not to be confused with the gamblers' fellatio, that usually involves a cock, a roach and some pinacoladas...

I think before I would sell off any Bitcoin at a loss, I would convert some into a handful of Premium Alts, (which I think Alts could rise as this gets closer) and ride out the storm. If BTC to sank to zero, (I've read that it could) the search might be on for the next best crypto lol However I don't believe there will be a 2 chain scenario, vanishing Bitcoins, etc. etc.. At the end of the day, miners, users, investors all like to see demand and a nice mooning BTC price. I am hoping common sense will prevail. Edit: as someone did mention, it will be important to avoid any transactions in any way the last 2 (to) 1 days before Aug 1st.

Reversals are usually preceded by large purchases of Litecoin.

Poll needs real answers, please add:
Drop Below $1,750 Drop Below $1,500 Drop Below $1,250 Drop Below $1,000 Drop Below $750
You are likely correct that the poll could use a bit of an update / facelift... Sure, various downside, upside and sideways possibilities could be listed. We are now in about 36% correction territory from $2980 to $1900 - and ETH is in about 62% correction territory from $410 to $155 - and there is some question whether ETH is dragging down BTC or if BTC is dragging down itself with the various scenarios and uncertainties around segwit2x. I actually had thought that ETH would correct a lot more than BTC and the bottom for BTC would be in the $1500 to $1800 territory, at worse - and that ETH would go into the $50 to $100 territory, at worse.. but now it seems that ETH is not correcting as much as I had anticipated and BTC is correcting more than I anticipated.. so I have to reconsider some of my perspective, to some extent in order to account for these different dynamics and even to incorporate thinking about what I consider to be somewhat different than expected dynamics... and such corrections that still seem to be "in progress"

Reversals are usually preceded by large purchases of Litecoin. Interesting observation. Why would that happen?
