Whenever people start yelling "cheap coinz!" I know that we're squarely in a bear market. Have heard it all before. They'll keep yelling that all the way down.  Roll Eyes

Which in Bitcoin's short history has always proven to be true.

And all of us who bought those 'cheap coinz' at 200-500 USD a couple of years ago laughed all the way to the bank. There are always great buying opportunities when others are suffering Wink

Well... as expected everything is going according to the plan:

- Segwit2x (intention) has now risen to 92.4% for the last 144 blocks
- BIP91 24.3% and growing fast

It is not unexpected that we get some more surprises and FUD in the road, but it is perfectly possible that everything goes smooth and before 1 August this issue is solved.

Also many weak hands shaken which is good for the price to keep rising.

There's still nChain to spoil the segwit party.

@LFC_Bitcoin Congratulations on your Legendary status!

The 'cheap coinz' peak was somewhere around $800 just before it nosedived in 2014. That phrase was not uttered for a long, long, long time afterwards despite them being, y'know, cheap.

So I sell 2k worth of bitcoin at 1980 and now the price is up to 2130 and rising. As always you're welcome everyone for my fixing the price slide.

(This happens a lot to me. Last time I gave up on p2pool they found 3 blocks in 24 hours. Ah well...)

I don't know how... BIP91 only needs 80% threshold.

31.9% now and growing fast, I bet for 80% in 24-48 hours as more Segwit2x signaling pools start signaling BIP91.

You've been here long enough to know this game buddy. Lots of bull shit FUD which shakes out weak hands & noobs. Price was never going to continue to dive.

Come on man!
Close. I run a business here fixing miners and as such I need to make sure I have USD to pay taxes. Thus every quarter I need to convert BTC to cash in order to ensure I have the taxes paid.

This comes from the 1999-2000 Dot.com crash when many of my friends got huge stock options (that needed to have taxes paid upon granting at the strike value received) but then did NOT sell a portion of those stocks for the cash, then had stocks go to zero and found out April 10th that they um... owed a million in taxes, payable in 5 days. Oh and they had no jobs either.

Maximum fuckage. So as a matter of principle I do this religiously even though the amounts are much smaller. :-)

I believe that BIP91 needs 80% to trigger, but then it would end up triggering the 95% threshold for BIP141.  I am not sure whether "intention" matters at this point. This is where the rubber hits the road for actual signaling, rather than merely stating intention.

Yes 80% to trigger and it is compatible with BIP141. But no, it won't trigger BIP141 per se. It will avoid the UASF though.

Intention matters as soon as all those that are signaling their intention (almost 95%) start signaling BIP91 in the next few days. As they will probably do.

At this moment: BIP91 35.4% and growing fast.

52% of the hashrate power, now, produce an unknow revision of blocks.

At this level, all regular wallet program inform by a message, the owner if ... he want upgrade the wallet program (because wallet don't recognize the planned revision of block).

so yes 2 trustfull members  confirm please   and whitin 2hours i like back and PUT THE AMOUNT OFF 2 times 0.25 there total of  0.5 BTC greetz from belgium

Don't send anything to anyone/any address unless it has been confirmed in this thread and the address of the escrow is public in advance of doing the transaction. You can do otherwise... but it would not be very wise.

I haven't read anyone yet agreeing to do the escrow. JJG only recommended that you use an escrow and suggested a couple names but he never said he would be doing the escrow nor anyone else have confirmed.

thanks for telling me i hope the right guy just send me and make it happen so i can send the amount that i told ........

JJG should match the 0.25 if micgoosens proves to be honest

just for being a doubting thomas

Tbh, I too doubt somebody who joined only three days ago making .25 or .5 btc giveaways. No doubt I will suffer from crippling solipsism now.

i understand the doubt but then why is there not just one trustfull member in here to say in the open something to me and where i can send the amount to.... and just let it be confirmd by 2 other trustfull members that its nothing off scamm adress and just honest member
its not so much to ask

if even you are a trustfull member and been confirmed in here i send them to you, just somebody around here long enough and been cleard by a few others

and a wafflemonster

its the least you can do for subjecting us all to your walls of text since forever

Regarding matching:

NOT

I am doing a service by suggesting escrow.

Regarding walls of text.  That is also called contribution services to the peeps of WO.  You think that I have a bot typing those multiple letters over the years (or "since forever" as you describe it)?  Nope.  It be called a real person.  You are welcome.

man i don't know what this escrow is i sended him an email if i gives me an btc adress or any one other trusted member confirmes by 2 other trusted members i send 2 times 0.25 immidiatly to them i'm going out now for max 2hours then log myself in and hopefully there is by then somebody for the job

Huh? didn't you read my email that i wrote to this JJG guy ?? i just need a little help     SORRY FOR THAT

BTW THIS I SEND  to sebastianju@bitmessage.ch<sebastianju@bitmessage.ch>; !!!!!!! i want the btc amount as quickly possible to there or somebody else TRUSTFULL

hey , i wanna ask you something so i made a small alt high on the WO person closest to it to get 0.25 BTC from me and with a technical word about why then the prise raise to it another 0.25 btc
some people react put response others to think i’m trolling or not going to pay so enough said i just wanna ask you as a trusted member to keep or how it works the 2 times 0.25 btc and pay when we have a winner

could you help me out and thanks in advance          (english maybe not very good so sorry for this )

PLEASE JUST DON'T DOUBT MY GOOD INTENSIONS

If someone already has a system of escrow - such as sebastianju, then it would be good to use such a service. I doubt that such a process can be rushed, and I am not clear about what is the rush, exactly?

I did not receive any PMs or e-mails, but I am not really prepared to engage in any kind of spontaneous and discombobulated attempts at escrowing, so someone who has a system set up, such as Sebastian, would be better.

We'll probably have Segwit locked-in sometime soon. Segwit2x will fail to activate. So we'll have at least one chain-split between BIP148 and Bitcoin ABC. I think.
