It is a twitter locked in contract. Lol, bet with him for let 's say 200 KUSD. Put 100 K USD in BTC. Whether you win or loose the bet, you win. And his D**k, he lost it already longtime ago by some hookers with piranha teeth... .

So there are 80% backing BIP91 and 13.9% backing segwit. Why has it taken so long to reach agreement on Segwit if 94% of miners agree with it!
BIP91 could be locked in in 38 hours, exciting times!
Straight Segwit would have required 95%, which means one dick pool owner could screw it and took weeks to lock in. Too slow, too long, too much opportunity for fuckage and endless manipulation. Let's see what happens.

Bitcoin is a scammy enough pump and dump, but how is the scam below even worth $1 still, let alone hundreds of dollars?

The same way that SNAP and TWTR are supposedly worth billions. The idea that something completely useless will somehow become 'monetized' in the future. It's all hype with no rationale behind it.

[...] FrankenSegwit isn't as great as you think. If it prevents a split on August the 1st, that will definitely be a good sign. However, we will experience the same problems again before their flag day HF.
A well supported hard fork (by hashrate) is preferable over a soft fork. It is just the stigma the terminology got. If we get a soft fork version of Segwit by the Segwit2x implementation, there will be two megabyte blocks shortly afterwards. The market already priced this in and considers it bullish now that the miners started signalling. I don't know why you are perpetuating this nonsense about the 2mb hardlimit increase being locked in. We are no where near that kind of thing, yet. One step at a time. The first step is locking in segwit, and depending upon how it is locked could affect whether that second portion (the 2mb hardlimit increase that you mention) becomes a next step or a next possible step or a rejected next step...

as I understand it will take the average, please correct me if I´m wrong To my understanding a fixed number of blocks needs to be found before it "locks" See: https://www.xbt.eu/246 blocks before current lock-in period ends. Still 198 blocks needed for a lock-in. Lock-in Period left 246 Blocks @ 10mins / Block = 41 Hours So in the next 41 hours we need 198 more blocks to signal BIP91, then it *will* happen. If it doesn't happen in the next 41 hours, another 336 block (56 hour) period starts, where again we need 80% of those 336 block to signal BIP91, and then we get a lock-in. and segwit will activate. This will continue up to 4 (I think) more 336 block periods periods, before the opportunity to activate segwit via BIP91 is lost.

I'm prepared for both directions - I'm not very good at predicting in which direction BTC is going

Has to lock in for anything to change. It hit 80% after the lock in period already started meaning it would need to be over 80% for that same amount of time to average out. Price is holding fairly steady waiting to see if it locks in. Even if it does not, the next lock in period over the weekend should push it through.

I find it strange that the number comes down sometimes. Some miners can't make up there mind? They seriously don't know what they want?
