Usually when the MSM starts to give a heads up on something, it means that they are about 6 months behind when it all started. So now I'm assuming that the price rise we've had since the beginning of the year has likely been attributed to insider hedge fund investors already getting in ahead of the rest before the "official announcement". There's just no way that all this money coming in is from Average Joe & Jane. I'm not really surprised. The hype and excitement around ETH is waning. Likely from people finally waking up and going "Wait a minute.... you mean the whole premise of ETH is that I've got to buy some first before I can use an ETH-platform based app, when there will be other similar apps out there I can use for free? So what is the motivator behind that again? Why would I want to do that?" Also, I always knew this year that the alt pumping was just a way to distract people away from the Bitcoin show.

If Litecoin Segwit activation process is of any reference to Bitcoin, we should expect a sharp rise when lock-in is certain (in a few hours) and a slower growth during the next days until activation. Then a mild dip and afterwards a slow grow upwards.... But that was Litecoin.

Read some of the previous posts before you respond. I don't know how widespread this website is: https://www.xbt.eu/, but it is pretty safe to say that lock-in is certain. 142 blocks before current lock-in period ends. Still 42 blocks needed for a lock-in. 100% SegWit blocks mined in this lock-in period. Just 29.6% SegWit blocks needed for a lock-in!
ETA 6 hours for a lock-in -> upwards of $3.5k today?

Litecoin dumped like someone jumping off a building soon as segwit activated (probably because segwit changes mostly nothing since lightning network will only work in a centralized manner).

The thing with the Litecoin Segwit rally (s) is that they were interrupted by goings on with BTC - when BTC shit the bed- it dragged LTC and the rest of the market downwards in its wake. Some of the effects of the SegWit rally were seen simply in LTC holding its price, bouncing harder or not falling as much as the rest of the market which was trending red. There was some normal profit taking too- and a heavy retrace ,as there quite often is - but it seemed to me to be triggered by BTC selloffs - and sure after Segwit some "sold the news" I am not disagreeing with you just saying there was some noise caused by BTC throwing a wobbly. I guess Segwit - and BCH *out of the way - paves the way forward - removes some uncertainty - hence the market reaction. x2 fandango next (*or is it?)

ETA 6 hours for a lock-in -> upwards of $3.5k today? What site do you think I use to keep track of current status? I think you are using a different meaning for CERTAINTY. Lock-in will be certain when all the needed blocks for lock-in has been mined. That will happen when 41 additional BIP141 blocks have been mined. Yes, I would expect 3.5K to be breached by then IF Litecoin reference is of any use here. Maybe not.... but until now it is happening similarly except with less radical movement.

Has anyone here tried sending a paper/brain wallet (with no BTC but with BCC/BCH) directly to an exchange such as Kraken/Bittrex and it credits you the BCC/BCH you were entitled to or do I have to import into a BCC/BCH wallet first, then transfer to exchange?

Splitting is now your problem, not theirs. They only split they'll do is the private keys they controlled at the moment of the fork.

It almost feels like he is being paid in BTC by some unknown entity to create FUD, and that said entity is buying all the coins from the FUD'ers.
