anybody else smell a correction?
I hope so, still bagholding USD... But we already got some nice (and quick) dips August 9-10... So I guess we will not see anything else than small dips.

I have to admit, I love the current 50 sat/byte transactions confirming in the next block. Best time to reorg wallets with many tx's. bitcoinfees.21.co says around 200 for next block confirm? where are you getting the 50 sats figure from? Yeah, it seems to rise a little. A few hours ago I was sending a lot of transactions (I could almost call that spam) to combine many tx addresses in a few single tx addresses with a fee of 50 sat/byte and most of them got immediatly included in the next block or at latest in the 2nd, eventhough the mempool was still bigger than >20 MB. Luckily I am done now.

I am mostly reading here. Today a rare post. I think empowering asked a while ago... Hence, info from me: I am still lending 6.22481641 BTC @ 0.718600 on Bitfinex. Thank you, idiot. On another note: Whoever hinted me to NEO in this thread... Thank you very much. I bought some, already up, and I think it is a great concept, so I am just hodling it. ETH Killer. The Thailand discussions were very inspiring. I was in Bangkok and Koh Phangan this year. My first time in Thailand. I will probably move there next year. Everybody have a great day/night and greetings from Dubai, folks.

I'm thinking that it is quite likely that we will experience a 30% or more correction on or before $6k. OMFnG!!!!!! I have a horde of relatives, which are waiting for a correction to finally dip their toes in crypto currencies... Why was no one listening 3 years ago ?

When I was buying in 2013 and through 2014/15 no one gave a shit and I was laughed at. Now it's up so high everyone is asking me questions. My wife's granddad was asking me about it today and I told him my initial investment and what I potentially have now if I sold and for a second I thought I was going to go down for manslaughter. He looked a bit giddy and had to sit down. Do not shock the elderly with big $$€€££ numbers.

Big money started to enter into bitcoin recently. What you see is just the beginning. You can hardly imagine how much fiat is printed in the world during last decade! And there are less than 17M bitcoins in circulation and there will be only 21M. There will be ferocious fight for every single bitcoin!

I have a horde of relatives, which are waiting for a correction to finally dip their toes in crypto currencies... Why was no one listening 3 years ago ? It is a bit ridiculous, and a few of them have pride, too... but every once in a while, I hear, "we should have listened to JJG... blah, blah, blah." I then, say, it is never too late. I give the same advice all the time and that is to dollar cost average - at least a portion of your investment because BTC has a lot of upside - but every time, they think that we have already reached the upside. Hahahahaha.. see you buying at $11,348.89. anybody else smell a correction?

It seems that now that BTC-E stopped dumping laundered coins and lagging price all the exchanges are very well in sync. Bullish.
Can someone please post some quality FUD so that we don't get carried away by too much euphoria? This can't be good. Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know if it is quality FUD or not, but I am actually quite concerned about this next fork, just the opportunity Ver and his cohort need.

The situation is quite dramatic but most of the noob traders think everything will be alright and the price will go up indefinitely. Everything in this world comes to an end, including the upward price of bitcoin. Especially, when bitcoin will cease to exist in its original form. I don't see how all exchanges will label segwit 2x HF bitcoin as BTC or just 'bitcoin' provided that core nodes exist and some pools are mining the non forked bitcoin (even a POW change is quite possible at some point). I don't see either how all exchanges will label the legacy (non forked) bitcoin as BTC if the majority of the hashpower is on 2x HF and they got the longest chain. The situation is a stalemate which will put an end of the bitcoin era. The 3 new bitcoins will be just altcoins which are not the real bitcoin, so their price will remain low and subject to a lot of pump and dumps in 100-300$ interval.
Jolly good. It's nice to see prompt service on this thread.
