The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Mtgox trading engine lag: 37049m 45s

maybe a bug

I've seen this happen on occasion the last week or so.  Even at points where there was about 5 or 6 seconds of lag it would jump randomly to that 100000m lag.
I also noticed these random numbers...

And the price is back to 114 and appears to be holding, really?  No more panic than that?

Yes, I'm starting to believe in some sort of curse on Bitcoin that prevents it from finding any level of stability.  It's like, the moment we think we're there something completely out of left field comes and hits us in the gonads.  I fully expect that two weeks from now when we're stable at $140 we'll all find out BTC gives you cancer Sad

Gox needed some more income. Lag is down, looks like in the end only a few point hit. Not bad. Of course with my day trading still ended up down.

Is there any proof of authenticity of the news outside of bitcointalk.org? On the marketplace there was an incident where two users were allegedly hacked and used to promote a scam by an trused high-post member which lead me to the conclussion, he got hacked too - if it's true.

Now some members posted theyy didn't receive any email from Dwolla for unknown reasons.

Remember the pastebin about a DDoS, which allegedly got leaked on the hidden wiki? "Spread fake news to bring down the price". I put on my tinfoil head.

If the price doesn't fall anymore, can we call $109.42 a bottom for the purposes of tracking bottoms?

The odd thing is, if you think MtGox is about to get owned by the US Govt, you need to BUY bitcoins and move them off the exchange.

What you're going to sell Bitcoins then try a wire transfer? Yeah, the US Govt wouldn't be able to track wire transfers. Oh wait.

This was my thought too.  This also leads to the theory that it's really just a couple guys trying to manipulate and buy back more coinage then they started with.

I guess someone just really needed 3 million dollars! Good riddance to them, now let's be sure not to let them buy anything back without paying a premium for the privilege.
