The good kind of DDoS .

Nvm. Bad kind of DDoS. A bunch of 0.05 sales along with legitimate sales.

I'll say again, if you want to cash out while in triple digits, move your ass.

I'm glad someone is making sense here. The crash from $266 to $50 was due on a denial of service attack on the MtGox website causing speculators to panic. Now we have a denial of funding by the most powerful country in the world, and even possibly the freezing of client funds, and we have only dropped from $119 to $109. The dramatic fall in price will come when buyers looking to move funds to bitcoin, then out of MtGox, have left.

Bitcoin will survive, and those are waiting on the sidelines when the dust settles will have the opportunity of a lifetime.

For all we know MtGox bank account in Japan is already frozen

Troll?

You'd be a troll if you thought it was impossible.

Ask Kim Dotcom how safe he was in NZ when the DOJ went after him. He was pirating movies. Whatever the DOJ is cooking up for Gox it's probably worse than pirating. Why would they only go after Gox just in the USA? Feed Japan some bs about money laundering/terrorists they turn over Gox in a heartbeat.

You can easily protect yourself by getting the fuçk off Gox. Which is better for everyone long term.

http://m.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/05/and-it-begins-feds-target-bitcoin

BTC will be fine long term. Moving away from Gox was always needed. This will just be a little bumpier.

Possible != already frozen.

I understand that it's possible and cashing out via Bitcoin and other exchange is a good idea. But now we need to wait for a bottom of bitcoin price

You're dreaming. That fall had absolutely nothing to do with gox. It was the market stabilizing after a frenzied media-hyped run-up. All the gox glitches do is add a little to the random up and down noise.

This is the truth...amazing how many people keep ignoring the facts.  110 and 105 walls came down like wet tissue.

Yep, buy now before we are in 1000$/BTC. Triple digits will soon be history.

I think we will see double digits before we hit 4 digits lol but keep praying.

This is almost certainly a KYC/AML/BS registration issue affecting Mt. Gox exclusively. I don't foresee any broader action against Bitcoin/bitcoin exchanges/bitcoin business at this time. The panic is slightly overblown.

I said "for all we know" which means possible. Like you said getting off Gox is a good idea regardless.

NOOOOO, I missed pg 420 xD

Also this crash is due to the dwolla thing, if you think otherwise then that's cool too I guess, I for sure can't change your mindset.

But it's due to dwolla seizure.

That is all.
