This is the only thread I read here, that's plenty to keep up with. I'm going to have to cruise some of the other ones, after today. I'm sure hilarity ensues.

Actually this is a lot higher than I expected. I thought that BTG would be in mBTCs. So BTG is getting priced more like ETH since we do know that one of its purpose is to take over all those GPU hashrates after ETH go over to PoS. As for the DDoS, I thought that something was wrong with my connection when I could not access GDAX/Bittrex/Kraken ALL at the SAME time 12+ hours ago, even though it lasted for only a few minutes. So it's a rehearsal for what's to happen later today....

a question: will Bitcoin become "Basic income" for everybody?
for example: invest 100 today and earn 1000 sometimes in the future?
It won't rise 4ever. But until it reaches to a few millions, the price won't be stable. Meaning that the higher it gets, 5% swings will be unlikely. Maybe if you will see 1% per month or year, you will be lucky! I hope one day 1 BTC=1 BTC and no one should be able to gain more bitcoins than existing ones Try to be productive and such things on the other hand... I believe that I understand what you are saying, and realistically, it does not make any sense - because bitcoin is always going to be priced in terms of other things, whether they are dollars, ounces or gold or loaves of bread. There will come a time when we will just need to produce stuff, to be productive, to create wealth inside the "coin community" that we are! We will compete with other countries. And our system will need to be better than theirs! ... So we can be attractive as a good viable incentive to empower our network. BTCitcoin will always exist and maintain a good value as long as there will be a system with lesser incentives for their users than BTCitcoin!

Don't. The rest of the threads are like this: Signature campaigner: Do you think Bitcoin will be regulated? Someone: <gives a reasonable answer> Signature campaigner: I think it will be regulated. Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it. Signature campaigner: Countries regulate some day. Signature campaigner: Regulate Bitcoin think. Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it. 20 pages later: Signature campaigner: I think maybe some country will regulate it. ...

Is it just me or did Kraken EUR/BTC just go bonkers on Bitcoinwisdom? Displaying 27089151782715.50 or some ridiculous number for me right now and very little volume. I hope BTC will get there someday, but seems like their API or something of the sort broke.

i rise up all sell ... it's way too fast. it can grow at 1000 USD per week now. instead of 1 sell every 200 USD ... it's now 1 sell every 400 USD.
If I understand you correctly, your sell orders are about twice as far spread out from mine. Mine are currently set in $200 increments, and I sell about .47% of my total BTC holdings every $200 price rise - however, I also tend to buy back, too, if it drops - so maybe in the end, I end up buying about 1/3 of it back.. approximately? About .47% You crack me up JJG!!! Slime licking fkr !

Where's the guy who said we couldn't achieve new highs without the alts? Hey, these are not new talking points, Yefi. We find these bullshit talking points in all kinds of bitcoin threads. There are a lot of folks who have come to believe that the tail wags the dog... and sure there might be some correlation here and there between alts and bitcoin, yet it seems that we may have decent chance that in the coming days some of these folks are going to begin to realize that alts are not equals.. to the BIG DOG... And, you know who I am referring to, when I say BIG DOG, right?

But BTG is not the total explanation for our current pump, nor is it the explanation that currently Alts seem to be dumping... the issue is likely a bit deeper than questions about what to do with BTG and whether BTC holders and/or buyers even know what the fuck BTG is (besides some of us nerdy folks following this thread).

I doubt BTG has much to do with this pump. I have a suspicion that it will probably be worth next to nothing. I am certainly not going to keep my BTC in stasis from October 25, 2017 until sometime in November when they release it. If I end up screwing up any potential BTG I get, oh well.
