Good morning Bitcoinland.

We finally got something close to a buying opportunity, not a proper deep dip but possibly our last chance to buy under $7k.

I got in while it was just under $6.8k but didn't buy a lot. Now it's back up over $6.9K... currently $6928USD/$8783CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Meanwhile AltCash is on the rise... currently $812USD/$1029CAD (Coinmarketcap).

Now if Bitcoin can get back on track without AltTrash crashing to badly, dual holders will be sitting pretty.

If it is on your computer you should be able to do this i think. I don't think you have to be online to see your keys, anyway, just follow the steps and see if your keys appear.

1. Extract your private keys for your pre-fork BTG coins by following the appropriate steps in the list of providers below.

- Electrum
1) Open the menu "View" and click on "Show Addresses"
2) Then open the new tab "Addresses"
3) Right-click on the addresses that had Bitcoin before the fork, then click "Private key".
4) Click on the qrcode icon to show it.

Now that you got your private key(s) for the address(es) that contained BTC prior to the fork of August 1st:

2. Create a BCG wallet in coinomi.

3. Click on .../Sweep Wallet and paste or scan the BTC private key that you obtained in step 1.

Your forked coins should now appear in your Coinomi BCG wallet

Looks like Roach was right guys. Should I buy 100 pounds of gold to carry around with me as I travel the world instead of bitcoins?

Might be hard to break a gold coin. Perhaps you should also travel with 1000 pounds of silver just to be safe.

Yeah and a few barrels of crude oil.  You can trade that almost anywhere.

Please don't carry crude oil around.  That colorless hydrogen sulfide will kill you soon enough.

Glad I checked this before finalizing my transaction with that Saudi prince. Thank you!

Why didn't release any desktop app, all bcg wallets are mobile apps. interesting..

Looks like someone is here just for the money. But cynical would be who notice it, according that someone.

I think Bcc will transition to Bcc, tomorrow or the next day I will switch Bitcoin again, but when the bitcoin is falling, the fall of the subcool is ridiculous to me.

You have to be joking?!? Paste the private key of your BTC stash into some internet site web form? This is insanity if you ask me.

Word on the street has it that Jihan is notifying miners that he won't sell further mining equipment to end-users if it's not used for ASICS/BCH.

Well well, today i woke up and my selling order for my remaining BCH at 0.125 BTC/BCH has been filled! Seems that maybe it will rise a little bit more, but this is enough for me Smiley

Damn it, I hate cracking open my cold wallets, but that's just too good a deal to pass up.

........Really, fuckface* ......

* stated in the most loving manner. Well, the most deserving of someone who randomly asserts false crap about me. Fuckface.

Hahahahaha.. you said it twice, and I really have some difficulties understanding how "fuckface" deserves a descriptive footnote, and at the end of the descriptive footnote, it is either signed by you as "fuckface" or you just cannot help to repeat "lovingly" calling it to Paashaas one more time?

I thought that I was using "fuck" a lot, but fuckface does not even seem to fit very well into any kind of descriptive context, even if used in a "most loving manner"   Tongue

Rather disingenuous for you to quote the invective, while not quoting the substance. One portion thereof to wit:

Quote
'Copy pasting'? I challenge you to find a handful of sentences I have copy pasted. Really, fuckface* - find the evidence and post it.

...which, of course, in response to an accusation by Paashass that I merely copy-paste my replies. In other words, a false assertion on his/her part, for which I am fully entitled to refute directly.

The careful reader will note that no such evidence has been proffered to support the specious accusation.

O.k.. thou dost protest too muchie.

I think not. I was accused of pure falsehoods. I dispelled the falsehood and called the perpetrator a naughty word besides. You -- apropos of nothing and with no standing in this particular matter -- waded in and called me on the invective, rather than the real issue on the table. What makes you think it is any business of your to begin with?

I mean, sure, this is a public forum, so you have the right to. In the same manner as you might have the right to cough directly in some perfect stranger's face. IOW, uncouth.

I think you can (you must) move your bitcoins that have been in the pre-fork wallet to another new wallet, if you still have any funds there, and then paste the private key in that web form.

First you move your stash to a new wallet. Then there's no risk. I did that for BCC to sell and it worked. That was with that electron cash wallet though. Still a headache but free monies so whatever.

Yeah, that's the key (hehe). Always move your bitcoins to a new private key, then you can use the old private keys to access these altcoins.

And will the BTG value pay the fees to move this BTC to a new wallet?

Who sold at the bottom again?

TBH, I was hoping for the $10k USD/BTC momentum to keep going so I can retire earlier, but, alas, back to HODLING and the cattle grind I go...
Well we got a new bottom just now 6588.  Cry
