Well after a day of whacking off here on the computer (wait, whacking away) I finally have all my crapcoin-classic coins moved from old wallets. What a trip down "get this old POS to work again" memory lane.

Now funny that but the transactions on Cash chain are running slow as shit. Gee I thought this was so the coin of the future with big big blocks or somesuch crap. Can't even spend it...

Reminds me of catcoin.

As I wrote before, it now seems that not even its creators are mining it!!!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin
What a complete joke. Wonder how many more attacks they'll manage to troll people with.
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It's called a shitcoin. Fortunately I was able to move a lot of it over to Bitcoin (where the transaction still was fine, maybe a few minutes slower) before the fuckening.

Looks like BCH was pumped and left to die. Nobody is mining it. Nobody can transfer this shit to exchanges and sell it. Bitcoin Cash CEOs say they hope to win the Bitcoin name? LOL

I think this will the dumpers last gasp. BTC now 3.1X more profitable to mine than BCH.

https://fork.lol/

My guess will be that we will see another pump that goes higher than the previous one, but I don't have any money on this.

$5000 is my mental stop-loss. I really hope it holds.
Are they dumping in an attempt to maximize damage? I mean there are probably more subtle methods of cashing out.

Considering most people supporting 2X and Cash absolutely hate Core and the main chain I guess this is their way of trying to damage us. Subtle was probably not part of their plan.

Finally called a correction in time, two days before it happened (or one?). We've been in line for one ever since price started pumping up to $7000.

Libtard is an actual slur. But the fact is that there are a type of people who refer to themselves as social justice warriors (and a lot of people who don't but think and act exactly like them). You know this, right? It's an actual description, not an ad hom. Well, any more than calling a(n actual) nazi a nazi is. Do you object to the allies referring to nazis as nazis during the war as well?

I run in pretty diverse circles and have yet to encounter anyone who would describe themselves as such.  I would guess that there are a very few, very young dudes hoping to get in the pants of women's studies majors that might do so...like maybe 2 in Minneapolis/St Paul and 3 in Olympia.  The majority of people I encounter actually working on issues of social justice, such as racial or gender equality, very much dislike the people you identify as SJW as they bring bad press and distracting drama.

I will admit. it is comforting to paint everyone you disagree with with the same broad brush, but it is intellectually lazy and ultimately hinders a more nuanced understanding of the situation.

Just in case anyone is interested, just got an email telling me about free books. These are highly relevant to the current bullshit going on, and useful in general, so quoting from the email:

Quote
The new Third Edition of The Evolutionary Psychology Behind Politics and How to Deal with Narcissists are both free Sunday November 12th, and Monday November 13th at Amazon, at the links at the bottom of this page. Amazon usually starts free releases randomly around 2-5AM PST on the days of releases.

Too bad we've had a correction coming anyways.
Unless they manage to dump the price to $1000 they would've failed quite horribly to even be able to claim they've did any damage.

If I wasn't following the whole drama I would just shrug the Bitcoin decline off since it's so ridiculously tiny in comparison to what it has seen in its younger days.

Alright, an actual scientific descriptor then.

The people in question all have an r-psychology.

Sufficient?

Do you think it is not likely that this is people shifting their portfolios into BCH now that the 2MB upgrade at block 494,784 was cancelled?

Or people that sold all their BCH rethinking the wisdom of that decision?

I didn't sell my BTC after Segwit2x was called off because I thought bitcoin falling was such an obvious trade it probably wouldn't happen. A lot of people were hoping to get in on an altcoin.

It just seemed like shorters would take advantage of this right away and the drop wouldn't be as big. Boy was I wrong about all that. Now I don't know how far BTC will fall. There really isn't any great news on the horizon to move up its price again.

We'll just have to wait and see.
