We're not trying to kill Bitcoin Segwit. We are merely building Bitcoin Cash to be all that it can be -- in order to take its rightful place as the dominant Satoshi derivative.

I'm sure we've had a fair share of fly by night pump n dumpers. But enough of us are playing a long game. Those of you thinking this is over may want to rethink.

I'm sure there are people with noble intentions involved. Unfortunately the people at the front leading it appear to be silly sausages who are going about their aims with the subtlety of a shotgun blast to the toilet area.

The only way they'll achieve their aims is to build a better coin.

OH CRAP, BCH IS TANKING! THERE GOES THAT!

Wait, I moved 75% of it into bitcoin at 1300. Gee thanks Bitmain for getting me off my ass to split my wallets. The other 25% can just be around to laugh at.

Indeed. Hopefully there will be a less anti Western / pro China / pro North Korea leader in charge soon..

Really? You mean Zims will be better if colonial status is reestablished in this country?

Of course not.
Trade doesn't mean we go back to the British rule / pillaging / apartheid days.

Surely it would be at least fruitful for the people of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabweans over here if the British prime minister made a statement about the situation in Zimbabwe and to at least state that Britain is open to have a conversation with whomever is in charge next to see if we can help.
The British government has already stated many times that foreign aid will not be cut. I don't see why a Zimbabwe without a dictator could not benefit from that.
There is life in the world outside of the EU and we should be keen to help considering the historical (mostly I agree negative) and language ties.

BUT BUT by help do you mean send in the economic hitmen with globalization? IMF Trojan loans etc? Or by help do you mean covertly funding a coup and/or economic sanctions against the population aka IRAQ/IRAN/N.KOREA/VENEZUELA/CUBA etc

Communist much?

I dont know how to respond to this.

American much?

No, European much.

Haha no not European or are you saying you are European, because that pretty much means American. Who controls Europe through NATO again?

What does that have to do with what geographical region in the world I am from? Don't you know the difference between politics and geography? Are your IQ subpar or does your country simply have really bad schools?

Well, one interesting question is how is the hash rate at BTC doing. Miners all quitting it?

If the transaction is valid, every node will broadcast it. The miners may not include it in a block, if there are transactions in the queue with a non-zero fee, especially while the mempool is over capacity for the next block. As soon as there is free space in the next block, zero fee transaction will get through - of course, the chance to empty the mempool below capacity is in question these days :-)

You must be an old-timer. That's the old code. The new code most nodes are running requires a 1 sat/byte fee for them to broadcast the transaction.

Oh, i must check that. Sounds reasonable; also need to upgrade my node it seems.
Thanks  Smiley

Cool. So if i read it right, txout+CTxIN below 294 satoshi will be rejected as dust.

Hum. Didn't dump all my clonecoins, but still made what could be considered a pretty penny on the ones I did.

If shitcoins pump then I can sell them later. And if not, then bitcoin is going to keep winning and clonecoins will be there as an insurance. Either way, the future is bright.

That said, something still feels off to me. If this was all that the biggest attack on bitcoin to date could do, then... well we will see what we will see.

What happened on the weekend was Wave 1.

The BCH/BTC battle will play out over several more waves through the coming months.

I highly doubt that. None has that much money to repeat this BTC/BCH swapping any more, now every trader is preapared and speculate on such an attack, which might be the only reason why BCH is still not below 300$.

Not to mention the technical drama around bitcoinchlasic  https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7dd43h/bch_has_a_problem_clashic_is_alive_replays/  Grin

I'm not exactly sure how Lightning is going to work, but I am almost certain that most people or entities that will open channels will close them within the day, probably a few times a day, or twice a day. So settle twice a day.

I get the total opposite impression myself. Mechanisms will evolve that mean once you're in you can stay in for good if you wish. But what do any of us know at this point?

I also understood that opened channel is meant to be there to stay. What's the point of it otherwise if it is going to be closed/reopened/closed/etc, you might as well do everything on chain like it is done now? We sure do need knowledge-base about all this, hope the developers will raise their heads for a few minutes and give us some more details.

Ok lets recap...

You said it is better for Zimbabwe to move away from China/East and have closer ties to USA/Europe/West
I said that history teaches us me (obviously not you) that African countries in general do not benefit from closer ties to the West.
I mentioned the usual scenario of IMF/Economic Hitmen or Dictator sponsorship/coup deta is NOT a benefit/any help to African/3rd world countries
You replied... "Communist Much"
I then replied in a similar childish manner "American Much" since you brought up the old US Cold War mindset of anyone disagreeing with US economic policy must mean Communism
You replied "No, European Much"
This made no sense to me. I wasnt sure if you were insinuating that I am European or that you are. Either way I replied that Europe and the US is the same garbage.
Now your bringing IQ into the equation.

My Conclusion?

This conversation is going nowhere and you are a tool. Maybe read a little history before making stoopid comments about politics.

C

You can see it here: https://fork.lol/pow/hashrate

It looks like they don't dare *not* to mine BTC, they need every BTC they can get to defend the price of BCH not to go into laughable territory, which quickly approaches.

I don't know about anyone else, but I definitely used it for this purpose during the BitcoinCash fork.
