Me too i got burned in 2013 after gox, and now i fear for a similar bear market to come back. When bch attacked btc and was getting the majority of hashes i nearly shitted my pants, as i did a couple days ago for the tether news. I am scared, I think it's normal, and I don't even have a big stash of coins! For some people, the recent surge made them overinvested in bitcoin. They should maybe sell some. But i won't sell, because like now I could buy a nice thing or two but i can't really change my life with my few btc, and I still dream of being able to do so one day. I don't know if I'm delusional, but bitcoin is the only asset i know that you can buy if you want to buy this particular hope.
That's about speculation.
About the fundamentals I still think they are very good, and I think core team is doing well too, and that bitcoin will become a main technology in the future and will be widely used. But i think this is only weakly related with the current (or future) price.

The last time I used a bank those dipshits tried to increase my interest rate on a student loan without informing me of it. Then they tried to make it seem like the "better option", even though there was absolutely no benefit from switching the loan over other than a commission to the dumbass at the counter and additional money into the pockets of the bank. When I destroyed them with the wonders of Mathematics and facts they became very quiet and didn't know how to react. What a fun day.
I wonder how many people they manage to scam with their "nice" attitudes.
So yeah, I hope banks will be obliterated by cryptos.
Lovely to read this. Made my day! The method of banksters are really worrysome. One example is that they offer students more loans than they will be able to pay off in due time. Its just ridiculous. How can you offer students that are not even working or getting any money cash payouts from your credit card (1500$) a week. How are they gonna pay it back? They even call you and write you letters and emails to take this cash out. Weak people fall for it and will be trapped by these loans for a long time.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
No ATH yet today, just consolidating around $8.2k... currently $8218USD/$10457CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Old coins are now worth $9743USD/$12399CAD (Coinmarketcap).
Give it another day or two of consolidation to digest the Tether BS and other crap and we should be ready for another leg up.
Go Bitcoin go.

And the attack polluting the blockchain and the mempool with fake transactions continues, accidentally stumbled on this address today: https://blockchain.info/address/1D5bPm1YAdn9WvAAixht7PbACU3TtkqtJJSpitting few transactions a minute and paying the 0.00005 BTC fee for each one. God knows how many of these are out there.

Yeah, there's 60 MB worth of low-fee transactions, dwarfing all the other transactions. https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

I happily trade there. Do the Tether pundits realize that the USD on every exchange in the world is not actually USD but simply a debt owed by the exchange to the customer? Why should I care if that debt is represented by a crypto token instead of a line in an Excel spreadsheet ? Yes Tether might be fractional reserve banking but you can do fractional reserve banking in Excel too.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRCsQUyR7_IIt looks like it exists. Could it be the mistery miner that appeared sometimes during the last months (they were probably testing them). Looks legit: Dabs has received one to test it

I'm using BitUSD to protect my profits and I'm very happy with it! It is secure, descentrilized and fast! Highly recommend it!
