Virtex just got over its ATH, now 292$, it had a correction with good volume, and is now ready to break away.

During the last bubble Virtex was consistently $10 ahead of Gox (and that was when we had parity). Any idea why it's falling behind this time? I would have expected the opposite with all the ATM news.

Maybe because people are using BTC to buy stuff with Virtex debit cards?

It apparently is related to mining pools dumping there nice new coins directly onto the exchange. So apparently with minted coin, they need 100 confirmations before they can be spent? So he mixes your transfer out with the new mints, and presto...you are stuck waiting 3 days for your coins...

Ah! That's a pretty good technical explanation really. I just tried a BTC withdraw out of curiosity. Lets see how long it takes.

EDIT: Just got the BTC as I clicked posted. Took no more then a minute. Withdrew 10 BTC as a tester (didn't want it to not work and leave a whole chunk in limbo!)

So anyway, seems like FUD to me unless the amount makes any difference (which I doubt).

Well, I have two transfer that show sent 13 hours ago on my account history, but do not appear in my wallet.

This is the id it is sent to: https://blockchain.info/address/1CAkY8dUtuMN9chZjGdbw6fXrqrXDqTRJt

The solution is trivial. 2 hot wallets. All deposits go into one wallet, then when matured, then transfer to the other wallet. All withdrawls come out of the second hot wallet. Problem solved.

* everyone panic buys BTC, and tries to withdraw*

Well, they haven't derailed this one.....yet.

If this was back in April when Gox was still the only real player then yea, we'd be in for a hurt right now.

Apparently it's random. Smaller withdrawals have a higher probability of working than larger ones.

No real explanation so far as to what is causing the problem.

This is getting absurd. I don't mean to say that Bitcoin shouldn't be going up, but what I'm seeing goes something roughly like this:

Step 1: OH SHIT GOX IS RETARDED! (*Dip/crash*)
Step 2: Why did we sell when we can only withdraw coins! (*Huge Rally on Gox*)
Step 3: Woo, I'm on Bitstamp, gox is rallying, better buy before we follow! (*Huge rally on other exchanges*)
Step 4: Yay, other exchanges are now roughly equal to gox, Gox must have fixed! Yay! BUY! (*Slow buys happen*)
Step 5: OH SHIT GOX IS RETARDED!

if people weren't damn weird, we should be permanently on Step 4. ~.~

I'm still waiting for a withdrawal from last night, it's a real problem. It's just not affecting ALL withdrawals, only ones mixed with the newly minted coins.

So 1.1 bitcoins is large? Its not related to amount, it's just luck of the draw when you try to make the withdrawal...if you are tangled up in the 'unconfirmed' freshly minted coins. It runs off Marks special PHP and SQL code.
