I doubt Nero is as bad as his rap is.

Been thinking lately. Nietzsche was a genius. The kind of genius that the most intelligent men of our time consider a genius. Freud and Jung both studied him. He had unbelievable foresight. He was also insane. He was in love with a pidgeon.

God is dead, and we have killed him! What happens now? Without a greater meaning in life, man will succumb to nihilism, and crave dictatorship, for nihilism is not acceptable. And many millions will die.

That was his prognostication, and as it turned out, he was right.

Suppose he could see how bad the past century would be, and nobody else could. Who was there to talk to? To understand him? How could it lead to anything but madness?

Who in your physical life do you know that see what is coming?

I'm inclined to agree with the diagnosis of CADASIL to explain his later-years madness, rather than it being due to his detachment from his peers. Nietzsche was a sick man for a long time. It stands more reason for it to be connected to his physiology than to his philosophy.

p.s. Who's the pigeon, Gast? Or are you referring to one of his many aphorisms?
I mean a literal pidgeon.

Huh. My bad, it was Tesla. Nietzsche had that whole horse episode, got them confused somehow.

Idir Ghanes, 42 (Unemployed computer technician from Paris)

"We are here to protest against the government because of the rise in taxes [in general], not just petrol taxes, which is the straw that broke the camel’s back. We’ve had enough. We have low salaries and pay too much tax and the combination is creating more and more poverty."

 Note to Parisians -

Hah. Initial forays into the connection between development of specific brain regions in response to environmental stimuli and its resultant effect on moral development, musings on the possibility of insanity being connected to foresight, and a snarky comment over a cop being immolated is what gets a merit. Oh well.

For the record, the policeman lived to tell his story so it wasn't immolation.
Also for the record, buy Bitcoin.

It's almost too easy, shorting this thing down to 0. There must be some shakeout retribution or this is not bitcoin. I'm betting on it.

As something of a connoisseur, I can say that is a truly fine Molotov hit.

Perfect mix (it's all about how much air you leave in the bottle, very touchy), excellent delivery, and superlative documentation.

I wouldn't usually post unrelated bitcoin articles here, but I think people might enjoy reading this and passing it on. It's regarding the real lefts immigration stance, rather than the fake left that is brought to you buy corrupt government and business.
