JFC! When I just saw you came back I took that as a bullish signal. I remember you were wise enough to convert all (or most) of your alts into BTC at the end of the bull market raising your BTC count to a whooping 50. I was not that wise and.... you know what happened to most alts. What did you do with your 50BTC? Did you rebuy into alts?

Same as you. I converted some. Most of it remained in the same alts, which I watched every month starting March 2018 ... all the way to December 2018 ... and you don't catch falling knives.

Admittedly, they were in alts that either had stakes or some sort of return, those I did convert to BTC every month (every week) and then converted those to fiat, to pay for everything. And it was fine and dandy until around September or October, but I still kept HODLing.

With the exception of the coins I lost to the two exchanges dying, all my other alts still have the same alt value, just not the same BTC or USD value.

While I still believe in BTC, the alts had "interest" so to speak, so I was living off of that. Now I can't, and I got some debts which I am having difficulty paying, (kinda foolish, should have zero'd them all out at least), and next week, I start a normie job working for some company.

I still keep my alts, and hopefully, the combined income from the job and the alts will enable me to keep my head above the water long enough until the whole crypto (BTC and everything else) starts going up. Seems we have hit bottom, and while any lower will hurt, ... we're going to bounce soon.

I feel you. This are hard times... much more when we consider the paper profits we had not so long ago. It hurts. Badly. If someone dares to tell me how lucky I am during the next bull run I will hit him hard.... and tell him how lucky he is.

I hope you at least still have a sizeable (even if currently undervalued) stash. I can just wish for a recovery... but I can't help thinking it is not coming soon. Hope to be wrong.

Actually, no, I "earned" 50 BTC worth of shitcoins (well, I don't consider them shitcoins, but whatever) ... my mistake was not cashing them out to BTC when I had the chance, and in hindsight, cashing out those BTC to fiat (maybe some, not all) so that I can live comfortably for a couple years, and then find a normie job without worrying about the future. (50 BTC was $1m USD back in Jan 2018? Something like that.)

And continue to earn or hodl everything.

But hey, no one's perfect. Either learn from your mistakes, or learn from other's mistakes. Still think they were pretty good bets.

A bitcoin would help so much, I'm not going homeless, and I've got a family to keep warm.

I won a lot and lost a lot. I cashed out a lot when BTC was 1100$ and bought a (now the most expensive in the world) Ducati. Even tho that could have been a Ducati AND a Lambo I still don't regret that decision.

I sold 1200 ETH which I got by mining form the very start and by daytrading at a good profit. But in hindsight....

I had a nice Dash masternode purring. Sold it for a good profit, but in hindsight....

I had 98.5 BTC at my top. Now I only have a fraction

What I learned was:
- Take some profit now and then and enjoy that. That can never be taken away.
- Be patient
- Don't trade when there are emotions involved

So, some valuable lessons, a great adventure, and some nice spoils of war. Not what it could've been but I'm very happy.

This year I'm saving and trying to rebuild a decent stash of BTC as much as that is possible. Having more then one whole BTC is a win in my book already.

My posts are all generally in support of the natural order, meaning things like patriarchy are functional and matriarchy dysfunctional.  My Marxist detractors support reverse evolution (SJW garbage) and things like Jewish Kabbalism, whose goal is for women to literally destroy men.  This is why every single 1st wave feminist propaganda pusher was a Jew.  Most people are completely unaware of what the hell Jewish Kabbalism even is.  

Both Satanism and Kabbalism share many of the same beliefs and traits, so they might not even be different and Jewish Kabbalism might just be re-labeled Satanism.  A lot of Satanists, Kabbalists, and feminists have this belief that the term "Satan" does not actually represent 'evil', but is just symbolic of women and matriarchy.  So they claim every social norm is there solely to keep women down and men on top, and they attempt to do the exact opposite of everything deemed 'good' to go against the natural order.

Yes, it's absolutely retarded, but these people actually believe this.  And this is why the evil cult of Judaism has been kicked out various countries over 300 times now.  If they aren't attempting to undermine their host nation, steal from them, enslave them, or murder them, they're trying to spread deranged anti-male, psuedo Satanic Kabbalism and other various idiotic beliefs.  The world needs to get rid of them pretty much yesterday.

I actually want him to answer. I've been around. I suffered a lot during the last 3 to 6 months, as all my holdings were in assorted alts, and everything crashed together with BTC.

To the point, I'm now entering the "normie" world, working a "normie" job, as I refuse to sell any coins I still have. I lost some too, to two exchanges that recently died. Perfect timing. One is in New Zealand, the other is in Canada, you can guess which two exchanges, they were all over the news 1 week after I sent them some coins to try to cash out.

My formerly unrealized potential 50 BTC ... (that's all I really had) is down to ... well 90% "disappeared" ...

But the time traveler, and a bunch of "bitcoin global road map" posts I read before, I'm pretty optimistic about the future. And I still have two bars of silver, LOL. (Didn't get gold yet.)

I was one of those few living on crypto. 12 months ago, I set myself up to do the trading of these alts to btc to fiat and back and forth, and it was a good run for about 9 months.

Now it's no longer sustainable. I think I read in the news at least two or three foundations of other alts that are either downsizing or simply disappearing, or asking another team to take over. I felt it on a personal level.

And as much as I don't want to beg, any help is appreciated. I was almost afraid of going homeless next month. True story.

Yeah I hear similar stories almost every day. One guy from the UK I met last week had invested in Litecoin mining biz. He had some 10-15 Antminers. Had t shut them down and sell as the couldn't afford to pay the electricity bills and with today's LTC prices it wasn't paying off. His wife left him he's in the process of getting a divorce right now because of his financial situation. If this isn't freaking 'blood in the streets" then what is? HODL brethren, HODL till the end!  

Don't get me wrong.  I don't believe that a condition precedent for BTC prices to move up is that there has to be blood in the streets.  Yes, I understand the concept, and yes I understand that frequently, those who are able to manipulate prices (such as bearwhales) are going to manipulate the prices down as low and for as long as they are able to accomplish such in order to remove whatever froth they are able to remove without damaging themselves and perhaps profiting in regards to such ongoing and consistent downward's manipulation.

Regarding blood in the streets, there is both a time element and there is a severity of downwards damage element. Even though you can point out a lot of examples of damaged folks, I doubt that we are anywhere near blood in the streets levels, yet.  Both in terms of level of down and the amount of time of being down.  Again, don't get me wrong, here, because I am largely criticizing your (serveria.com) assessment of actual blood being in the streets at this point in time based on current price conditions.

I am a little bothered by the way some bitcoin folks have perverted the original statement that really came from Ronald Reagan, which was "trust but verify."  The current bitcoin maximalist statement that is circulating around, including coming frequently out of the mouth of Max Hillerand is "don't trust verify," which to me says something quite different from the "original": "trust but verify."
