What's all this about the Canadian exchange making the rounds? They let a single person hold the password to a cold storage. Rumor is the dude faked his death in India and is still moving coins right now as seen on the blockchain. Gotta fucking love crypto.

Meanwhile banks in Kangaroo land are charging advice fees to dead people, despite knowing they are dead.  For years. The judge running the enquiry said of the NAB bank CEO:

Quote
“I thought it telling that Mr Thorburn treated all issues of fees for no service as nothing more than carelessness combined with system deficiencies when the total amount to be repaid by NAB and NULIS on this account is likely to be more than $100 million.

“As I put to Mr Thorburn, his proposition was that ‘this money fell into the pocket of NAB accidentally’. Mr Thornburn’s frank, and inevitable response was: ‘I can’t disagree with that … it wasn’t intended to be ours but it became ours.’

“The amounts of money that just ‘fell into the pocket’ of so many large and sophisticated financial entities, the number of times it happened, and the many years over which it happened, show that it cannot be swept aside as no more than bumbling incompetence or the product of poor computer systems.”

I'm pretty sure MicG is talking about the original not the original.

(edited to be in haiku form)

Which is, of course, a Supreme fork.

Probably you need to clarify your above statement, jbreher.

I understand that in the past, you have expressed beliefs that attacking bitcoin, even by fork, is merely a free market dynamic, and therefore, if we believe in free markets, then we should embrace such forkening events.  So, are you still caught up on some kind of suggestion that there is some kind of praise that the bitcoin community should be giving towards various attacks upon it that are likely going to continue, including through various forkening mechanisms?

Jeeze... lighten up dude or dudette.

We went from Phil Collins to You Can't Hurry Love, which is a song that was first performed by the Supremes. IOW, the Collins version was a fork of the Supremes' original.

I understood... which probably means I am old.  Cool

I've been interested in PR for the same reasons.

I think Argentina might now have a higher ratio of white people vs taco people, mestizos, black people, etc than the US does.  Their black population is only 9%.  They even have clean public transportation that's not littered with graffiti and level 5 chimpouts 24 hours a day:

I was actually just looking at the statistics yesterday.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Latin_Americans

Also according to Wikipedia:

Quote
[the]total White population [in the US] (including White Hispanics and Latinos) being 76.9%

I started researching Uruguay in some more depth. It's temperate, prosperous, and extremely safe. It makes the short list of possible countries to move. Unlike the economically unstable Argentina, Uruguay was able to weather "The Great Recession", while actually achieving some economic growth.

5.0 is pretty standard for a full strength.

But 8 pints is 13.5 bottles.  I would be face down on the floor long before that.

I stick with 1-2 bottles per hour (for normal strength beers). More than that isn't enjoyable.

IOW you continue in the practice of praising bitcoin forks and likely attack vectors on bitcoin through your analogy.  In that regard, there is no need for me to lighten up about your attempt to paint forks as positives, especially given your recent history in supporting the bcash trash... and likely you have not learned in the right direction from your recent support of scams (aka bitcoin attack vectors).

Your inner idiot is loud and proud and on display, JJG. Better rein that back in.

Huh?  I already admit that I missed the Supreme reference.. I suppose that the capitalization should have given it away... and then your further explanation.. but I missed it.  So how would you propose that I apologize, beyond merely admitting it?    Do you have some boots for me to polish, or kiss?  You want me to all of a sudden, tell you that you are the greatest, even though you have made some pretty strong bcash pumpings in the past that cause legitimate skepticisms of your btc-related substantive motives?

That looks like more of a death trap than I was expecting...which is surprising.  I'd probably leave it in the ocean for a month or so and come back and see if it's still there before you attempt to live in it.  Regardless, the leader of bitcoin, Kevin Sorbo, would be proud.
