so what will the next big FUD be? they seem to be out of ammo these days.

The FUD they are heating up is the "advance notice" that CSW plans to crash the market for BTC.  THis is what I see bubbling up on twitter...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wucjDQj8w4s

Of course, that statement is months old already.

As a European citizen, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Montecarlo, Milan, it would be perfect.

A survey should be prepared, first in which continent and then in which city.
@infofront takes note. Wink
I don’t want to give up too many OP sec details on me, but Milan would work good for me.
Can give directions for any WO members travelling to Italy, btw.

The Piamonte, Milan and the airport is the only thing I know of Italy, good wines and good gastronomy, highly recommended.

Haha. How about Firenze, in honor of the first great revolution in accounting (i.e., double entry bookkeeping)?

But it's being bandied around by all the usual shillspects on twitter recently.. perhaps in advance of the SV Shindig.

I have been meaning to answer back your responce to me... but busy.. life... etc.

That said, without going "Aussie man bad" do you not think that warning/threat is

1.  Horrible.  Horrible. Horrible.  Bad game theory.  Does decades of damage to the entire sector.  Undermines the legitimacy of the Bitcoin and the entire crypto sector.  Shows that it's all being controlled by a madman etc.

2.  The most un-Satoshi like thing possible considering his writings that we have.

So we have evil, out of character, and possibly all a lie.  Right?

BTCullish.

It probably means that we should slow down a bit, otherwise 20k (or 35K at most) is pretty much a limit (for now) at MM around 4.0 (8.0 at historical max) .

Exactly.  There is such a thing as blowing your wad too early.  Slow and steady >>> Quick trip

I see no problem with running up to 35k then dropping back to around 20 before gearing up for a 60-80k runup by halving.

When 600watt was working on the $1K party, the admission was 1 BTC. This to cover venue, consumables, security, hostesses, travel from airport, etc. Essentially, an 'all-in' price.

I might suggest that the $100K party might be similarly funded. Though one full Bitcoin seems a rather steep price.

I can only imagine what kind of debauchery/indulgence could be organized in Vegas for 100k a nose during a 1-2 day party  Grin
"Hangover" is not even close.

yep. it would be tough just to survive it.

im willing to try though. just need lots of medical people and a bunch of medivac choppers standing by.

"WO bro down!!! get the chopper!"

He’s full of absolute shit. The sooner his lies & fraudulent behaviours are in the rear view mirror of cryptospace for ever the better.

Does anybody seriously believe he’s Satoshi?

Even Calvin know the truth, I think. His problem is that maybe initially he was duped by CW & unfortunately for him he’s balls deep in this mess now so he has to continue the narrative.

I’ll give it 3 years tops before SV is done & those pair of clowns are broke & finished in crypto.

Well....

1) I dunno. The pervasive narrative in this here space is that everything out of Craig's mouth is either: a lie, or; simply wrong. As such, how could anything he say undermine the legitimacy of the sector?
OTOH, if he has the capability to carry out such a threat, how would his huge advance warning not be a good thing?

2) I dunno again. Before vanishing, Satoshi revealed very little of his personal proclivities. I see no evidence therein to support the notion that he might not use his substantial war chest in order to tilt the market in favor of what he perceives as the more faithful rendition of his ideals. What exactly am I missing in his writings?

He knows that no matter how retarded his actions are, there will always be somebody who'll follow him. Because why not.

And by a small chance, very very slim but it is still there, he thinks if he shouts loud enough and bribe the right people, he can rewrite the history. I don't have any examples in my mind right now but it must have worked for someone in the past.

This is what the world has become after thousands of years and evolution of the human race.

But if he crashes the market, BSV will also go down with it.

My guess is that he wants people to have some doubt and hedge in BSV just in case he crashes the market. But their fork war with BCH brought every coin down, including BSV.

The moon is very close, we are going to go much further.

Plan B stroke another good one!

But there is more: what if the more mainstream adoption and the presence of more "institutional money", more keen to "efficient markets" (à la Fama) drives up the markets in anticipations of the halving and the subsequent stock to flow reduction? Price used to rise sharply after the halvening, reacting to this and not actually anticipating it. What if this time is different?

Link to Tweet

I don't like to comment too much in the current price of BTC, but the sentiment is turning more and more bullish, and I think this kind of analysis is perfectly consistent with an anticipation of the halvening.
Market doesn't like discontinuities, and so tends to anticipate drastic moves or changes in the protocol.
If had could move a critic to Satoshi for his whitepaper, I would say the choice of discrete halvening is not optimal, while a more smooth reduction of coinbase would have been better implementation, at a cost of a slightly less trivial implementation.

The market, as you say, is optimistic, but there will be correction as always from the maximum, where is the maximum?
Well, my forecast is that we're going to get to 10,000 and then we'll see what happens, obviously I can be wrong, but that's the next trip.
As for PlanB, I like your presentations, but as you comment, there are many variables at play.

Of course this is a trend, so deviation from the trend are always possible su to “overreactions” of the market.
Good thing is in the past overshoot has been 3x model values, and never below 50% model value. So actually overshoot are more pronounced on the upside!

You forgot to mention fraud & plagiarism.

Advantage my ass, it's just FUD.
