Quote

Many long-term investors who are not bitcoin enthusiasts probably have not heard of MtGOX's troubles until now.  As those news reach them through the media, some of them should sell their coins and leave.

gotta say i think approximately zero long term investors have been unaware of the Gox situation. i think this kind of analysis is seeing things from the outside of the market, like the mainstream media are doing  with their reporting, and completely misses the actual dynamic of what is taking place.

All this stuff was a great test for bitcoin. There's nothing MK could do to harm community anymore. Now, with Gox finally gone, all we have ahead is growth.

6k anyone?

MtGox has been subpoenaed by the U.S. Attorney's office in New York.
Perhaps this was reported a few pages back but I could not find anything so here's the story.

edit:  Ah I see it now. It appeared a ways back in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg5377102#msg5377102

It is interesting that most of these big buys seem to be coming directly from BFX...

Out of USD again. Wires are so annoying after you're used to BTC.
