Something occured to me today watching bits of Trump:

I don't think he wants to be President anymore. It's no fun when tens of thousands of people may die because you're a stupid buffoon. And now that he can't shake hands, hold elaborate dinners, and instead is expected to deal with a meltdown it's not the job it used to be....

Interesting.

Yes, it *has* been that bad ever since the '08 financial crisis: A complete zombie economy hanging by a string.
Eh, we're merely back to 2018 levels. It needs to fall a LOT more to hit 2008 values.

2008(9) values? Only in a Depression, which this guy estimates only at 10-20% chance:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-16/guggenheim-s-minerd-sees-10-20-chance-of-global-depression

My current plan is to start buying stocks at 50% discount (SP500 at 1700, roughly, which is, incidentally, is also a 61.8% point of the entire move from 666 to 3392), fully expecting a possibility of a move to 1500-1600 area before the strong bounce. Not going to buy any current bounces. BTC-hold.
I am talking here only about an inititial move and a rebound. The whole structure might take decades to resolve (aka Japan 1989-2009).

Listen carefully to Novo here (trading advice):

You gotta be pretty ignorant to think that Trump doesn't know that a presidency is mostly defined by what happens around you, not just what you bring to the table.

Meanwhile some guy in China can't wait to cut open a salamander and dip his asshole in a jar of chicken juice later today.

Interesting.

Did he ever I wonder? He would've had a lot more fun if he'd been beaten and plenty say that was the actual plan.

I wonder what he thinks sat in his g string all alone watching TV at night. Not a great I assume but there might be some regrets deep down somewhere. However his ego won't allow him to lose so he's going to see it through no matter what. He'll probably reach a point where he signs anything put in front of him without reading it so he can get back to his big mac. Maybe America will end up with Karl Marx Day because of it.

I'm actually surprised how well Bitcoin is weathering the storm over the last 24-48 hours. Really thought we would see 2xxx by now, even if it was only there for a little while.

In Spain we are now already BELOW the lowest point of 2008 (IBEX35). EUROSTOXX50 will be there soon too.

And there have never been a drop as sharp as this one. It dwarfs the 2008 movement.

This is way more than just a financial/liquidity crisis.

US is next....

Tourism probably explains the Spanish stock exchange for a large part.

What I'm surprised at, at some of the press conferences today from world leaders is no one (leaders or journalists) gave two fucks about all the citizens who to a large part are stranded abroad. I know some people who are going via a charity to probably get home.

Ok, this seals it for me, the bio-engineered virus is a spook operation for sure. Probably CIA is only agency with access to such bio-weapons or authority to commandeer such access. NSA is branch of army so maybe them too but unlikely to get involved. May even be a rogue branch that 'slipped up' while doing their hidden masters bidding from the seat of the UN or some other global secret society power, e.g. Fabians.

The virus was engineered by a laboratory in Wuhan, and includes parts of tuberculosis and HIV. However, most of those reported with the virus dont have it, and most deaths also have nothing to do with it. Basically, anyone dying from pneumonia or from a cold is being marked in hospitals as a victim from the virus. The virus is real, but the pandemic is fake.

The ones who died in China, however, were infected by it. Since its a hybrid virus, it needs a push to work properly, and this was done with the 5G installed in Wuhan. The process of electroporation allows for remote control of the virus, through the use of nanomilimeter waves. These waves can penetrate the body and reach the cells, but they need an agent and a transmitter, in other words, the virus and the 5G cellphone.

The chinese population was vaccinated against coronavirus in December 2019.

THe impact on tourism is and will be *HUGE*... But the impact from the lockdown (while probably necessary) will be even bigger. Absolutely incalculable.

Usually embassies help on repatriating citizens trapped in foreign countries in case of disaster but... there's not that much they can do at this point when no matter in which country they are if they are probably also in lockdown. People are advised to stay wherever they are. Frontiers and airlines are shutting down most everywhere in Europe.

In one or two weeks into the lockdown it will maybe possible to reevaluate the situation but at this point there is a huge uncertainty about... most everything.

As I said... Interesting times.

Can you point me to any solid/irrefutable evidence of that?

Something occured to me today watching bits of Trump:

I don't think he wants to be President anymore. It's no fun when tens of thousands of people may die because you're a stupid buffoon. And now that he can't shake hands, hold elaborate dinners, and instead is expected to deal with a meltdown it's not the job it used to be...

Interesting.

Great fun 'playing' President, not so much when you have to actually act like a President with real ideas and leadership...and of course 'consequences' ...like when he is out

of office and the investigations can resume. Smiley

We’re only down 0.63% in the last 24 hours.

Observing $5,300......

I'm actually impressed as hell, that after today and such that we are at $8,100.00 USD BTC as I type this.

I hope a bit of 'decoupling' is in the works between everything just falling because the stock market decides to lose its mind.

(to be fair Trump is in office, the Fed acted 3 days early from a meeting on a Sunday, hell, maybe the markets are exactly right..panic.panic.panic?)

damn, this is the start of a very weird year 2020 looks like this is gonna last more than a bit and well into such, it seems...Sad

edit:

As an aside, I find it very weird that I'm not more upset about the Trump mismanagement, the cuts in CDC and lack of preparation compared to even 5 years ago

of such a crisis, when at least the government had more resources deployed on this possibility and would 'game it out' sometimes with some seriousness.

But I find myself debating other issues like:  How long will local grocery stores deliver food and do I have enough? (told to stay in 65 years and live alone don't ya know)

How to make my meal preparation include Ramen noodles at LEAST every other day for a meal (ack! the horror ack!)

I should perhaps be happy about these 'real-world distractions' and find myself 'grateful' for BTC/Crypto HODL even if the value goes down 75%...even with that

and all this, and my traditional monthly income. I'm remarkably calm about all this stuff.

I'm in a 'hell' of a lot better position with this whole 'pandemic' thing then I otherwise would be, if I never into BTC/Crypto and used it to also used it to manage my

other financial interests and no DEBT and such and will at soc sec retirement, retire 3.3 years early! So best to be positive about this kinda thing and call it a win. I

would NOT want to have my direct care worker job in a group home now under these circumstances that is one thing about BTC/Crypto at least I retired 3.3 years

earlier than I planned. (I can still dump supplies off with the group home if they get that far down the list w/o risk exposure on grocery pickup if needed)

Reality: It is not just the President anymore, Trump clueless though he is, that is I'm having a bit of a 'wake-up call' to this whole clusterf*ck. Reality sometimes is too real! Sad

So, if in the USA, I'd take advantage of stocking up on free shopping and you pick up delivery and pay by line to 'add some spice' to your home confinement. (All the

perks of home arrest without the fashion-challenged ankle bracelet thingy) Smiley I suspect this will get big enough in a month that the perk of free off the shelf shopping using the

web and all you have to do is pickup will be gone in a month or so. Sad

Damn, I'm glad I have a kindle/inet and amazon prime! Smiley

Anyway, puts things in perspective on LOTS of things that is for sure.

Come on Bitcoin - you know what to do. It's your time to shine.

Actually, maybe we are seeing some decoupling of BTC/Crypto prices from the US Stock Market..or at least, IMHO, not as much as I dreaded! Smiley

Come on Bitcoin, you know the rule, if you are running from Bears you don't have to run faster than than the Bears, just the other guy, er 'stock market' Smiley

Futures are up ~4% not observing decoupling just yet
