Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

That's great news. I hope he has a talk with Janet Yellen and straightens her out as well.
Yellen isn't off to as bad a start as Crypto Twitter might have you think. Released just yesterday: Dr. Yellen, what do you view as the potential threats and benefits these innovations and technologies will have on U.S. national security? Do you think more needs to be done to ensure we have appropriate safeguards and regulations for digital and cryptocurrencies in place?Answer: I think it important we consider the benefits of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, and the potential they have to improve the efficiency of the financial system. At the same time, we know they can be used to finance terrorism, facilitate money laundering, and support malign activities that threaten U.S. national security interests and the integrity of the U.S. and international financial systems. I think we need to look closely at how to encourage their use for legitimate activities while curtailing their use for malign and illegal activities. If confirmed, I intend to work closely with the Federal Reserve Board and the other federal banking and securities regulators on how to implement an effective regulatory framework for these and other fintech innovations.

That is completely different than what was posted earlier in this thread. Lovely how people are already twisting things 1 day into the presidency.

Now THAT is a work of art! Hear hear. Isn't it funny how no-one seems to whine about copyright or plagiarism, whenever someone posts photos like this one? Because the whole universe like tits and ass so they were busy looking at it rather than complaining.XOXO. Oh now I understand.

... local FUD peak. Deep State hates bitcoin because commie dreams are founded on fake fiat commie money. "Biden bans Bitcoin" is our FUD future as far as the eye can see. "Commie China ban bitcoin", what's the diff commie Biden or commie China ban? Sad commie bitcoiners need to own it, instead of drooling over press secretaries (wtf?) in their deluded fake kumbaya commie reality ... bitcoin peaked around Jan. 6 (commie Biden admin confirmed in commie Congress), coincidence?

Supply shortage incoming. 270,000 BTC off the market this month.
Bitcoin has broken the trend line ... I think this week the market will shake up short-term and long-term positions, as well as all those people who have a sense of urgency.

Sad commie bitcoiners need to own it, instead of drooling over press secretaries (wtf?) in their deluded fake kumbaya commie reality ... bitcoin peaked around Jan. 6 (commie Biden admin confirmed in commie Congress), coincidence? Why not just change every word in your sentence to "commie"? I don't think the term has been played out enough since the 1980s. So, are you going to address the fact that you've been absolutely wrong about everything you've said here for the last 2 months, or nah? ... just wondering what happens to bitcoin in a scenario where USA goes into martial law and Trump starts rounding up perpetrators of election fraud? He has the power, some would say the constitutional duty, to protect USA against all enemies, foreign and domestic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=720O_yBLrTs... I think it's coming. Prepare yourselves for a step increase in crazy times. Wrong. None of that happened. PPS: i'm an outside observer, no dog in the game, you might want to look a little closer, your country is in a constitutional crisis and the MSM are totally quiet on it ...
Wrong. There was no constitutional crisis. Just a band of confused shitheads who broke their way into congress; half of which are now in jail or soon to be in jail. I totally agree, time to bring the hammer down and start deleting some of this commie propaganda.
Wrong as fuck. USA is being gas-lighted into a CCP-approved dictatorship ...
Wrong. ... you're being lied to and set-up for a communist dictatorship, it's clear as day. Take it from me, you've eaten the bait, hook, line and sinker.
Wrong. "First they came for the Trumpists and I said nothing .... "
... if history is any guide this has a long way to run, authoritarian statists never give up power without bloodshed. The level of hate and vitriol being whipped up on both sides looks like it's being manufactured ...
Wrong. All must not be well inside the Pentagon either ...
Wrong! Well done marcus. You've exhibited that the power of American political propaganda is so great that it can brainwash even non-Americans into rooting for a candidate.

This is what institutions selling looks like. Yep! Bitcoin "You merciless Bitch!" But really on December 21st,2020 the price of BTC was $23,851.48 (see www.coinmarketcap.com) current price is $29,543.80 from an ATH of $39,421.41 (see www.coinmarketcap.com) Zowie! I guess if you have "Institutional Investors" and the HODL'ing gets "tough" they take their profits and leave the table ....got to justify them bonuses don't ya know? Hell, at this rate the big money and profit-taking by institutional investors could make BTC volatility much worse! This is the point at which I should have found my muse to write the best haiku in the world, but I can't seem to concentrate even for a second goddammit. One thing I can tell for sure tho: #nohomo Ah...the "trophy wench" and fancy boat for her..slip farther and farther....from my HODL reach, now compared to the ATH... damn it! Brad (edit: Let us be real here, BTC or no BTC, she would not let me park her car....sigh)

One strange thing about bitcoin: it has a $551 bil market cap, but it's price is still moving like a startup or IPO, not to mention penny stocks. For some reason, it is not being 'tamed' in its volatility as it ages and increases in size. Several possible explanations: 1. It is still small comparing to the eventual steady-state levels. 2. Large money induces volatility so they can accumulate. 3. It is it's intrinsic property. 4. Some combination of the above 3.
Imagine bitcoin at $1 mil per and suddenly losing 15% in a day because of a rumor or a silly article. ...That would be $3 trillions, thank you very much.
