Intel Labs has dedicated decades of research into reliable cryptography, hashing techniques and ultra-low voltage circuits. We expect that our circuit innovations will deliver a blockchain accelerator that has over 1000x better performance per watt than mainstream GPUs for SHA-256 based mining.

If there is a use of the words metaverse and blockchain, then there might be some focus challenges too?   And, maybe there are desires to NOT be overly-focused?

I hope they know what they are doing.

Intel.. they gotta know what they are doing, right? (could be a slogan?)

Slogan?

"No one ever got fired for buying Intel."

Edit:

The word "blockchain" has always pissed me off. Some morons seem to think it's the defining feature of Bitcoin... "it's not about Bitcoin, it's about blockchain, blah blah blah..."

Don't even get me started about that "metaverse" bullshit.

Portgal seriously damaged their golden visa program by not allowing the purchase of qualifying residential RE in Lisbon, Porto and Algarve (since Jan 1, 2022).
Only Madeira and inner parts qualify now, unless you buy commercial RE.

Thats a good thing, prevents people from bidding up real estate in big cities and popular areas making them unliveable for locals.  at least thats my humble opinion

That's exactly why they introduced this rule. Laws to keep RE/rent prices sane have been a thing for years in Portugal. A soft form of socialism, in fact.

Rental prices in Lisboa (ok not if you don't live in the center, or in another part in Portugal, Like Porto, Braga, or in Algarve), are really high compare to the cost of life. Like a nice 2BR flat , 100sqm, with aircon, in good condition (without being luxury), cost around 2000 euros per month (Chiado/Principe Real / Estrela).. Minimum salary is 600€.

Only six series were made.
Just finished watching them and there were some really good ones as well as a few misses.
I particularly enjoyed “the trial of Elizabeth gadget from series two.

There is one show I see referenced in particular that I haven't seen. I'll have to look into it. Perhaps it was a special or something.

(Yup. Halloween special, 2018. Shame that Amazon didn't have it up).

"About the same as current ASIC technology" doesn't have the same ring to it.

The word "blockchain" has always pissed me off. Some morons seem to think it's the defining feature of Bitcoin... "it's not about Bitcoin, it's about blockchain, blah blah blah..."

And then they treat it as some magical talisman that can do anything and is ideal for any purpose, even ones which traditional ACID databases have been doing better for decades.

I tried looking for a place to start a career in the Bitcoin ecosystem. At least 2/3 of the stuff out there is snake oil in my opinion. More now with NFT nonsense.

Looks like intel is starting to focus on developing processors that are able to provide convenience for miners, they will even try to introduce an Ultra-Low-Voltage Energy Saving Bitcoin Mining ASIC, with the existence of this Ether ASIC it will certainly save more than 15% of the power consumption used, I think it's not wrong for intel to continue to provide the latest innovations in crypto mining right now,  because the opportunity to profit in crypto especially bitcoin is now very wide open for anyone.
