Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

As we have Haiku Sunday and I am completely unfit to create such non-rhyming poetry, I deem it appropriate to post about Haiku OS which is basically the successor of BeOS and has a vivid history. They released last week their third beta of the initial release and those of you that are interested in alternative operating systems might want to take a closer look. I reckon fans of MacOS in earlier times might find it appealing. Haiku is an open-source operating system that specifically targets personal computing. Inspired by the BeOS, Haiku is fast, simple to use, easy to learn and yet very powerful. I gave it a whirl in qemu and on real hardware and I am thrilled by its clean and simple design and it's performance. A very refreshing experience and I will keep it on my watchlist. A nice, sunny and funny Sunday to all of you, may the 45k be with us! EDIT: screenshot added

That will be the only form of payment they will accept! Bitcoin! How else will their driverless cars and pilot-less drones let you out? As soon as you do a LN payment, the doors will automatically unlock and open!.. no stolen CC, no chargeback, no missing cash!

Typing this on a custom Arch Linux installation I use for some audio production. That one is not "off the wall" really, more in the mainstream linux category. But I came up on the TRS80, then C64, and then the golden age of computing for me was an Amiga 4000. The only computer I was able to sell after owning it for 4 years for more money than I paid for it. And actually in the category of OSes like BeOS, Haiku, and perhaps Next, AmigaOS is a fun one to get running as it sort of is of the same basic vintage, and shares a similar UI style.

The funny thing is. You can ban bitcoin BUT you can't ban Bitcoin A wise man once said "YOU CANNOT BAN BITCOIN—YOU CAN ONLY BAN YOURSELF FROM BITCOIN"
