Given everything going on in my life, managing a LN node is more negative, parasitic energy that has complicated my life beyond any rational measure.

I need to step away, for my own mental health and sanity.

Geez - I've been away for several quarters, and the news don't change. AKA history repeats

Managing high end technology issues -which will be resolved irrevocable in the foreseeable future- in Bob's current stressful personal life - he just needs a break to get things sorted- has nothing to do with supporting your beloved bCash SV, which has plummeted to oblivion, like we all expected it that history will repeat itself endlessly with all shitcoins. Giving that, youre shattered shitcoin dreams meets harsh reality while Lightning is vigorous flourishing in all metrics like never before.

Speaking of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), back in 2017, right after the fork, I got my BCH forked coins (as did all BTC HoDLers at the time), and was considering keeping them along with my Bitcoin, as a safety measure, in case BCH overtook BTC at some point in the near future (yes, I dared consider that possibility). I remember selling them (the BCH), and then changing my mind and buying them back. Eventually, I sold them all at an average price that was much higher than the current BCH price (!), and converted them to Bitcoin (BTC).

Had I kept my BCH from the 2017 fork, I would have ended up with a shitcoin that now has LESS value than it had then!

Instead, I sold all my BCH for BTC, thereby increasing my BTC stash by several whole coins, which are now worth one order of magnitude (10x) more than the price I bought them!

Lesson learned: Stick with Bitcoin, get rid of all forks (BCH, BSV, etc.), convert to BTC & HoDL.

BCash is actually lower in price now than it was during the flippening. Everyone should have dumped it back then immediately.

It will be interesting to witness the extent to which some "work-arounds" may develop in response to aspects of the somewhat surprising draconian measures that Canada has chosen to take.

Several of us can likely recognize various ways to employ work-arounds that make it much more difficult for individuals to end up getting identified - but surely, any time that these matters start to appear completely "decentralized," there are worries about rug pulls (lack of legitimacy)... and then if targets (individuals) of distribution are recognized, then that can be difficult too.

It's almost as if there are disadvantages in publicizing either the means of distribution or the targets of the beneficiaries.. so that each person almost has to give directly to some individual that they want to benefit, whether a truck driver, or some one who is supporting the truck drivers (the one giving out free sandwiches and discounted fuel.. or paying for lawyers). 

Not easy.. and then if you start talking about it or supporting it, then maybe you become a target for that (deplatformed or even gone after by authorities).... words can lead to action, and then surely governments engage in behaviors to attempt to make words illegal too.

UN police ?  what are you smoking? green guys are usually the SQ (Quebec provincial police), in that video just seems like the fully kitted out Ottawa police judging by the accent.  They didnt even used tear gas.
They pepper sprayed some people and said "sorry we had to use pepperspray".
They seperated protesters with the cavalry slowly and people just stood there, like yeah good luck holding the line against a horse.

This was the nicest and most patient protest busting action i've seen, ever.

Put a well known politician's name on the article and this piece of news will get buried as quickly as all the other news about billions and trillions and gazillions of dirty dollars freely moving from bank to bank with no taxes, no legitimate justification and so on and so forth.  Did we not have the .. Pandora papers leaked last year if I got the name correct?  Nobody gave a damn about them.  They can get away with all of it.  We can not.  And what is worse is, they get voted for by the countries with all the money they launder and rob and we pay for their salaries with money we legitimately earn.  But if you earn $100 and do not declare it, you are condemned by the entire society instead and are now worth rotting in prison for what you 'have done'.

It's always good to know that we are at a point in our world when peaceful protests have an expiration date. A week or two at most, before the establishment comes in and says "Ok wrap it up, time to arrest you now without cause or provocation. Or beat you. Or pepper spray you. Or both. Whatever it takes. But your sorry little protest is over now because we say so." And nothing ever changes.

But we're still a democracy though. /s

Ah, the warm feels. Hope you guys can sleep soundly knowing that protests will achieve fuck all from now on. Just like voting.
