When the financial system is weaponized, Bitcoin becomes the peacemaker.

Quote
Absolutely nobody in the world thinks any government has handled the pandemic well (other than a sliver of  Zoom-class apparatchiks who were largely unaffected by two years of lockdowns) and corporate media is fast becoming universally reviled.

Secondly, against this backdrop of wholesale loss of credibility and institutional bankruptcy, those in power are getting desperate and increasingly resort to weaponizing the rails of society itself against normal citizens, everywhere:

Russian gov be like : People are starting to use BTCiTcoin !!  Shocked  Shocked

Poutiné: "But we can't tax that!"  Cry  Cry

That is exactly what the people should do. Buy/Sell with Bitcoin and pay workers in Bitcoin. and stop using Rubels. Starve the beast of taxable income. Not even a country can freeze an off-exchange wallet or take over it without having the keys.

Thats what we should be pushing for. Buy Bitcoin, Fuck Putin. Put that on a shirt and sell it for Bitcoin.

Gold is somewhat stupid in the digital age, I am sorry to say.

Gold is obviously useful in circuits so it will always be quite relevant but in finance terms of course you mean.   The general point I'd make of that is variety is a good thing, too dependent on one thing will lead to vulnerability so the world should and very likely will continue using both BTC and gold and also alot of other things to exchange value like paper debt.   We'll be worse off for trying to restrict any but we do hope the most efficient course is the one we take and gold does appear a bad exchange system to alot of people but it'll always be there I think, I believe its justified.
I dont especially want to contrast gold with BTC because they are just so different, thats also why I think they both continue without opposing each other and I think its best to have at least some of both whatever personal views dont exclude yourself from that option completely because that probably means a greater liability to Dollar or other regimes bad implementation of value.
Right now if most of the world comes to agree with that view that BTC is a valid asset to hold even in percentages below 1% net worth, we know that means growth will continue for BTC and it is still very new to most.

BTC has a pullback but overall has outrun previous negative trends.   The ideal is to stay above 43k (to maintain the best momentum) but as low as 38.5k could be the pivot for losing positivity or continuing positively to develop upwards month to month.  BTC must refine this whole prior range before it can especially make dramatic gains, its a positive to develop volume in these areas.

Went to the local Imax cinema tonight. I love a good DC movie, prefer it usually over Marvel.

The Batman (2022)

Boring first 2 hours and pretty great last hour.
Suffered a bit from what can be seen in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Certain parts are dragged out for no reason and don't add anything.
At one point it felt like it was turning into a Catwoman movie with Batman playing a background character. Probably could have cut an hour and would have had the same result.

There was a lot of backwards and forwards with this whole Falcone carry on, it felt small scale but opened up towards the end.
Bruce Wayne seemed unnecessarily gloomy and the actor doesn't suit that part but he is fine as Batman.
Andy Serkis as Alfred is ok but he had very little to do. Probably the worst Alfred we have seen recently if compared with Michael Caine and Jeremy Irons and what these actors had to do in their parts.

Other than that good/convincing acting and a great soundtrack. Excellent set pieces, even if there weren't many of them.
I could not recognise Collin Farrel. Easily the best actor in the movie for me. I'm surprised he has never had a shot at fronting one of these DC / Marvel movies himself.

Worth a watch but maybe bring a few Red Bulls to stay awake during the first couple of hours.

Heyyyy.... Guys..... How is everyone doing tonight? Good? Good.

Ima just leave this here...

The Russian army is firing from all sides upon Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Fire has already broke out. If it blows up, it will be 10 times larger than Chernobyl.

Do you guys think the extermination of life on earth will affect the Bitcoin price? Proudhon?

Anyway, if Im going out, Im going out on 100 tabs of acid. Gotta arrive at the pearly gates tripping my balls off.

They could shut the internet down using martial law.

Which would severely lower internet access it would be the real test for BTC.

There is independent off-grid internet connection nodes technology for low frequency 4/5G.  (that was a f^cking mouthful  Roll Eyes ).. You can basically put it on a tall tree on a hill and connect it to a small solar panel with some phone battery. And the 5$ circuit board you can buy from China. And they border China. So... ?!??  Huh  Huh  Huh

That's quite a misleading chart. For example, less than 20% of Czech's energy consumption comes from gas, so it's not catastrophic if even 100% of that gas comes from Russia - the remaining 80% of its energy comes from other sources:

the evening wall report

Is it Friday yet?  Prices continue to slide today with bitcoin down a little over 6% in the last 24 hours. Late declines of yesterdays session have seemingly spilt over into early trading with bitcoin currently trading near $41.4kish over heavy consolidation.

Is the pandemic, the spiraling inflation and now a war in Europe enough to change or at least influence these cycles?  If its not then I really dont know what would be. Ive been here before..you all have. There was never any choice really imho...or rather there is only one choice. Nothing to do but carrying on and see how the next few weeks plays out.
That is all.
keep in mind that these are weekly charts and moving averages

Calm down everyone.  Chernobyl blew up from within because nearly  e v e r y   s i n g l e  safety system was defeated manually by human hands in order to perform a poorly designed test and the fuel was encased in carbon (as a moderator).  It blew up due to a runaway fission process and and the extreme energy and heat created.  It continued to burn because... that's what carbon does.

The reactors at Zaporizhzhia are pressurized light water reactors (meaning they use water as a moderator).  Also, each of the 6 reactors is encased in structure built from over 2 meters of steel reinforced concrete which can withstand a direct hit from a 747.  The safety systems are much more robust than those of Chernobyl.

It would be good if some stray bullets don't kill the guys trained to operate the reactor though.  Personally, I'm more worried about the safety of the good people of Ukraine from Putin's onslaught.
