Regarding, Jorge, the level of paranoia in here is getting a little scary (and I talk as someone who tries to maintain a high level of paranoia). Jorge is wrong (IMO) but sincere. No one is seriously going to be trying to control the market through this forum (unless it is the market for pictures of rockets and trains).

Is it so hard to believe? There'll be an annual budget for defamation of things they want slandered. Let's imagine how this might work:

10% fake facebook accounts and pages
10% youtube videos
30% comments on youtube
20% comments sections on MSM sites
10% admins controlling content on sites
20% forums. (edit: this is the most active thread on the most active forum. Pretty relevant.)

This is most likely how it's done.

This does not mean Jorge is a (paid) troll btw, but some pretty unadventurous thinking makes it easily possible.

edit 2: And this just means it's someone's job out there to make a certain amount of FUDish posts a day. I mean this actually has to be happening.

edit 3: This may be paranoia, but I don't really think it has any effect, it's laughable, but likely someone's job none the less!

Come on, let's stop talking about Jorge being paid. Or better let's stop talking about him at all. He is irrelevant or at least he should be. We're giving him too much time here, that's what feeds him.

Could you please go beserk, you have been talking about this possibility for quite some time. Wink
Beserk? No, the lesson will be delivered calmly, with just a few keystrokes.  But it is not a decision to be taken lightly.

How could you do this without connections to people in the domination apparatus? What do they owe you? How could you pay them? What is in it for you, what is in it for them? Would you reveal to them the secret on how to get rich with bitcoin investment?

Is it me or does the OP keep changing the Poll question after people voted to suit his bullish agenda?

I am sure the question I voted on said "will the price be below $500".  So i voted yes.

Now it has a different question, with the same votes/results...

or should I stop drinking?

So when Gox goes down everybody sells on Bitstamp. When China goes down everybody sells on Bitstamp.
Are Bitcoin traders the biggest idiots on the internet or what?
When China is gone i bet they will find another failing exchange to follow so they can panic sell every day.

Warned of what? I'm not following.
That insistence on discussing  Jorge Stolfi instead of his posts may necessitate a lesson that will not be forgotten.

Bitcoin is a highly speculative asset, you still haven't figured that out already?

As to the question on FINCEN licensed exchanges.

Atomic-Trade is the only FINCEN registered exchange in the USA that I know of.   Verification is better/quicker then coinbases's and I don't really consider Coinbase an exchange.  Only thing with Atomic-Trade is it's new and not a lot of people want to bother with the KYC rules yet.   I'm very surprised BTC-e hasn't been raped by US regulators.  I'm sure it's just a matter of time..could be why prices are dropping so much.  Someone may know something.

it's a fake breakout, especially at this time of day/week, it's lost momentum.

resuming long, risk is temporarily over. happy to make a penny out of the drop.

looking to short on a break of 465 however.
