Without a final goodbye, is it even a goodbye?

https://twitter.com/documentingbtc/status/1518900646690308097?s=21

Why people are linking these two incidents? First I saw it on twitter and now on reddit.

So one of early lead bitcoin developer "Gavin Andresen" announced he's going to present bitcoin at CIA headquarters  on April 27, 2011, 11:00:26 PM

I'm going to give a presentation about Bitcoin at CIA headquarters in June at an emerging technologies conference for the US intelligence community.

Although on bitcointalk Satoshi was active only until December 13, 2010, but as per Andresen record Satoshi sent him last email on April 26, 2011.

"I wish you would stop talking about me as a mysterious shadowy figure."

The alleged final break between Satoshi and his collaborators would come on April 26, 2011.

According to records from Andresen, Satoshi sent him an email that day in which he asked him to downplay the idea he was a “mysterious shadowy figure,” at the time adopting a short and reproachful tone to the project’s new “technical lead.”**

"The press just turns that into a pirate currency angle. Maybe instead make it about the open source project and give more credit to your contributors; it helps motivate them,” Satoshi wrote.

But what is important is his comments in one the video where he said "he believed Satoshi’s exit was connected with the CIA event"

'It would be Andresen himself who would first air the idea he believed Satoshi’s exit was connected with the CIA event, an opinion he’d give on a YouTube show https://youtu.be/MUfKOIU_K1I?t=1095 at 18:18 in the video

This was the Satoshi last public email was on Apr 23, 2011 where he hinted on moving on and bitcoin being in good hands

So in the end I believe his disappearance should not be connected to Andresen meeting CIA, since he already left bitcointalk long before this meeting and he already hinted that he would be moving on.

Whilst Europe is mostly distracted by Ukraine and will have to deal with millions of refugees from that country (they will never go home I suspect, at least not the majority) the EU commission quietly unveiled plans for even more immigration from North Africa. 2-3 million per annum on Wednesday. Worse than the immigration problem in the USA.

https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-commission-proposal-migration-pact-t-ukraine/

But to all you evil Bitcoiners, YOU are the reason why energy demand is so high, so there!

I'm sure this will be shrouded under the cloak of "We are helping them. Please give us a pat on our backs, whilst we also tell you to get rid of that stinking petrol car and that horrible gas boiler because you are a filthy polluter you. Also, any new car you buy will have a speed limiter, so ain't that a lot of fun driving about heh?"

You can never help the poorest, they stand no chance of coming to the west. Furthermore it is estimated that the population of the African continent will quadruple from 1 billion to 4 billion over the next 100 years. Perhaps a better idea to make the entire continent richer, rather than pillaging their brightest minds.

The EU, as usual, are completely deluded.

Dumb, short term thinking continues to rule in the political circles.

Apologies if this has already been laughed at:

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/143328/bored-ape-instagram-account-hacked-nfts-worth-2-8-million-stolen

Quote
When the Instagram account was accessed, it was used to post a fake update claiming there was a LAND airdrop and users had to connect their wallets to claim the airdrop. This was taking advantage of the Bored Ape roadmap, which includes a metaverse game that will contain virtual land. When users connected to their wallets — and likely approved a transaction — the website stole their NFTs.

This has all the greatest hits of shitcoining - airdrop, instagram, metaverse, connecting wallets to random websites, NFTs... this "hack" is a work of art, pun intended.

Every single one of these phishing expeditions prompts to approve a transaction "Set approval for safe transfer" starting with the highest value NFT selected. You only have to check the data and see you are simply transferring token "X" to account "0x...", rather than harmlessly signing verification of ownership, which is all that would be needed for an airdrop or otherwise. The fact official instagram or twitter accounts are hacked shouldn't be that relevant compared to simply verifying the tx you are approving. It's many collectors have absolutely no idea what they are actually doing.

Then collectors whine and complain because they unknowingly sent their tokens to a hacker, simply because they didn't check the transactions they were making Huh I enjoy connecting metamask to these phishing websites to have a look at the hacker's wallet addresses, just to see how many people have already fallen for it. Clearly many collectors trust social media accounts more than they verify blockchain transactions.

Make no mistake, these "hacks" all require approving transactions/signatures. Simply connecting wallet shares public keys in order to prompt transactions, ie doesn't require any signatures.

This technique reminds me of the Bitcoin Gold phishing attack back in 2017: "Just put your BTC private keys into our super secure wallet for free money pls sir". So many people fell for that one...

Got acorns on your land?

Not a single one  Undecided

I think I have one in my nightstand if you want to release it from a drone onto your land somewhere.  Imagine the oak forest in 200 years!

-edit-  How long can an acorn last in a nightstand before it can no longer be dropped from a drone onto the fertile east Tejas ground and still sprout?  I suppose this one might be 5-15 years old... probably dead now.

I found a few links:

https://askinglot.com/how-long-will-an-acorn-last
https://findanyanswer.com/how-long-do-acorns-last-in-storage

It's older than a few months, probably dead now. All you can do is submerge it in water for a few hours, then plant it in the ground and see if something sprouts.

Bitcoin is trading above its support which is at 37673 on weekly chart and seems to have digested all negative news coming from FED about interest rates increase.
If weekly candle is closed above 40,321 which is its pivot point, we might see a good rally in coming weeks.
