Exactly this ethereum is an organization of developers that at advancing the protocol. Basically forking the shit out of it. They are addressing scalability and the Web-3.0 components.
Bitcoin also has an organization of developers that are working on it but less active.
At the end of the day
Bitcoin = #1 store of value Ethereum = #1 utility token
Combined they and a few stablecoins are all that are needed IMO
it's not Bitcoin vs ethereum. It's Bitcoin AND ethereum... They should not be seen as competitors
When i come across this claim from Vitalik Buterin, i had a second thought about it, guys despite the ckaim bitcoin is still the king of cryptocurrency and will never cease to, it leads others follows

Haha, I'm all for hopium but that number is ridiculous. Anyway this is how they calculated it. “If they add 5%, which is what Dan Tapiero says, I think it’s way too aggressive. Maybe over time, maybe in the next three to five years, that could be possible. That would take the price of Bitcoin to $773,000 in the next three to five years pretty easily.”

I watched 10 min interview in above link. I think what Saylor is saying is very much right that ethereum is being modified ever since its launched unlike bitcoin. So what he trying to say is that etherum is just like some centralized token launched by company who have control over the protocol. To be decentralized etherum must run unmodified for atleast 5 years but we are yet to see this. Even there is no clear way forward for PoS coming up. What will be Yield for next 5 years? No one can answer that. So Saylor is right in every of his argument.

It's Bitcoin AND ethereum... They should not be seen as competitors I would say Saylor has highlighted some very key points here, https://twitter.com/NeilJacobs/status/1553752187838382085. Blockchain has a trilemma between scalability, decentralization and security. Bitcoin has scalability issues and that's a feature not a limitation (@JayJuanGee said so) but it's fully decentralized and secure. If you are moving towards scalability ( that is making blockchain able to process more transactions)then you have to compromise on security and decentralization, that's the case with ethereum. You are right there is no competition between bitcoin and rest of the crypto world, since there aren't any coin that fulfils the criteria of cryptocurrency. These are my few satoshis. Even if ethereum remain not modified for 5 years, we cannot compare it with bitcoin decentralization. Bitcoin owner "Satoshi" does not exist, Ethereum owner "Vitalik Buterin" has to die if Ethereum needs to become decentralized like bitcoin There is no clear evidence of what satoshi is, some says he is dead while there are also rumours that satoshi is group of people and bla bla. But one thing is very clear that bitcoin is the only decentralized cryptocurrency.

That's not the case in bitcoin where protocol decides the complexity of mining the block not developers. One more reason to say why bitcoin is fully decentralized not ethereum.

Wikipedia has long accepted Bitcoin donations. The problem is that they want donors to identify themselves and use an intermediary. They won't simply give a Bitcoin address where donors could anonymously send coin. There is no freedom without anonymity. Screw them. No anonymity no donation.

I use Wikipedia for concrete information about things like botany, zoology, math, demographics, etc. I avoid it for anything to do with politics or news and am skeptical about history. Remember, Wikipedia doesn't supply content. Its content comes from a worldwide community of "editors" and as such is as vulnerable as any other social media to personal opinions and other bullshit.
