The war is currently being fought in Ukraine and not in here guys. Or maybe its the bitcoin dump that's making people go crazy ?
So, are we going to visit 17k again now or what, the CPI report didn't even come out yet and we're already dipping ?

10% down is quite expected because some obviously decided to take profit as soon as the price touched $25k, and now a new phase of accumulation is starting again. I don't see why that would make anyone crazy, except for those who don't accept that we are in a bear market.

Remember when somebody is selling, somebody is buying. Those who sell when price goes are bought by crazy people who love to accumulate discounted bitcoin.

I don't think Ukraine is going to win. Its last promised counter-offence in August so far hasn't materialised.

The war in Ukraine is not between Ukraine and Russia. It is between America and Russia. The so called Ukrainian army are just mercenaries paid by US and UK. The pro-American military junta in Kiev can never win.

I will agree with you when there are Ukrainian (or American) troops inside (internationally recognized) Russian territory. Until then this is Russia invading Ukraine.

There is no international law left unbroken by the US after Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago. There is no international laws anymore! Ukraine was invaded by the US in 2014. Russia has the right to defend itself.

The US has invaded many territories that's true (Ukraine isn't one of them). These territories are all still in the hands of the local people. Russia takes over territories and makes it Russian territory, makes the people Russian citizens, steals babies, etc.

I thought Bitcoiners would be attached to the concept of sovereignty, but I guess not.

I'm very disappointed by Bitcoiners too but for the opposite reason. You dont recognize Ukraine is not a sovereign state but a western puppet since 2014. The early forum would have gotten that for sure but the quality has been diluted to an extreme extent unfortunately.

The consequence of success I suppose. Just sad to read many hear believe and repeat their westerm government propaganda  Cry

So what you're saying is that if the West has helped the revolution/coup in 2014, that's outrageous, but if Putin does the same, it's normal ?

There has been free and fair elections in Ukraine since 2014 (something that can't happen in Russia), and people voted the current president in, despite him being a "US puppet" or whatever.

Not sure when this is from but gas price comparison across Europe.

Can't help but notice those governments who complain about Russia the most are also forcing its citizens to pay the most.

The Netherlands sits on the largest natural gas field in Europe but that also doesn't help gas prices there. Much of it closed after light earthquakes but Germany is still getting some.

-----

Over the last 25 years The Netherlands spent 600 billion Euros on immigration & over the last 70 years the government made around 420 billion Euros from this largest gas field in Europe.
It is estimated between 2020-2040 The Netherlands will spend another 600 billion Euros on immigration.

Understand why governments are broke now, why citizens are starting to go broke and why BTC isn't rising at the moment?

The left want more hotels to be converted to immigration centres and the greens want you to go cold. People keep voting conservative but the greens and left wingers under direction of the WEF constantly get their way.

The Netherlands as the world's fifth happiest country

This year sees the country achieve a score of 7,415 out of 10. Interestingly, researchers found that 97,6 percent of respondents from the Netherlands felt at peace with their life, while 86,9 percent felt the various aspects of their lives were in balance.

Why is the Netherlands a happy country?
This is due to the citizen's employment satisfaction, social support, mental health and well-being. The Netherlands has performed well in the generosity index, GDP per capita, social support, and the corruption index, making it one of the least corrupt European countries next to Finland and Denmark.

‘I don’t see justice in this war’: Russian soldier exposes rot at core of Ukraine invasion.

Quote
Pavel Filatyev knew the consequences of what he was saying. The ex-paratrooper understood he was risking prison, that he would be called a traitor and would be shunned by his former comrades-in-arms. His own mother had urged him to flee Russia while he still could. He said it anyway.

“I don’t see justice in this war. I don’t see truth here,” he said over a tucked-away cafe table in the Moscow financial district. It was his first time sitting down in person with a journalist since returning from the war in Ukraine.

“I am not afraid to fight in war. But I need to feel justice, to understand that what I’m doing is right. And I believe that this is all failing not only because the government has stolen everything, but because we, Russians, don’t feel that what we are doing is right.”

Two weeks ago, Filatyev went on to his VKontakte social media page and published a 141-page bombshell: a day-by-day description of how his paratrooper unit was sent to mainland Ukraine from Crimea, entered Kherson and captured the seaport, and dug in under heavy artillery fire for more than a month near Mykolaiv – and then how he eventually was wounded and evacuated from the conflict with an eye infection.

By then, he was convinced he had to expose the rot at the core of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “We were sitting under artillery fire by Mykolaiv,” he said. “At that point I already thought that we’re just out here doing bullshit, what the fuck do we need this war for? And I really had this thought: ‘God, if I survive, then I’ll do everything that I can to stop this.’”
-------------------
“It’s very important that someone became the first to speak out,” said Vladimir Osechkin, the head of the human rights network Gulagu.net, who helped Filatyev leave Russia earlier this week. That also made Filatyev the first soldier known to have fled Russia due to opposition to the war. “And it’s opening a Pandora’s box.”

This week the Russian investigative site iStories, which Russia has banned from the country, has published a confession from another Russian soldier admitting on camera to shooting and killing a civilian resident in the Ukrainian city of Andriivka.

Filatyev, who served in the 56th Guards air assault regiment based in Crimea, described how his exhausted and poorly equipped unit stormed into mainland Ukraine behind a hail of rocket fire in late February, with little in terms of concrete logistics or objectives, and no idea why the war was taking place at all. “It took me weeks to understand there was no war on Russian territory at all, and that we had just attacked Ukraine,” he said.

Nationalist unit executes 100 fellow Ukrainian troops – Russian MoD

After Russian forces carried out an assault on Ukraine’s 58th motorized infantry brigade on August 14 near the settlement of Udy in the Kharkov region, the remnants of the formation fled their positions and retreated, ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said.

In order to “suppress panic and intimidate the personnel of the Armed forces of Ukraine,” fighters from the neo-Nazi “Kraken” regiment “demonstratively executed 100 servicemen of the 58th motorized infantry brigade who abandoned their positions” near Udy, the official said.

The “Kraken” regiment describes itself as a special reconnaissance and sabotage unit under the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, operating separately from the Armed Forces. Moscow considers it to be an offshoot of the notorious neo-Nazi “Azov” regiment which suffered a crushing defeat in the city of Mariupol back in May.

Ask yourself who did that study and how they measure it. Societies where the social norm is to be more positive about your happiness always come out on top. It says nothing.

If you trust what Russia says, I don't think we can really discuss.

And I'm not saying Ukrainians are perfect and don't have bad apples, but Russia is run by them and their military has shown no restraint against anyone, including their own (or what they call their own).

House of the Dragon first look review – this epic Game of Thrones prequel is a roaring success.

Quote
The long-awaited follow-up to the fantasy drama is here – and it’s every bit as great as its predecessor in its heyday. It’s fun, fantastic-looking and seems set to get us hooked all over again.

The Iron Throne has been taken out of storage and returned to the Great Hall of the Red Keep. The wardrobe department has de-mothballed its finest furs and thrown them round the shoulders of a new cast. The creator of High Valyrian, David J Peterson, has likewise been brought out of hibernation to supply new dialogue.

And there be dragons.

Yes! The long-awaited prequel to the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones, which dominated the televisual landscape for eight riotously expensive seasons is here. It is derived from parts of author George RR Martin’s 2018 bestseller Fire and Blood (the release was a bittersweet moment for fans who hoped he had been completing the Song of Ice and Fire book series from which Game of Thrones was adapted, rather than writing a prequel). House of the Dragon, then, is the tale of the Targaryens who began the whole bally thing.
